U.S. Army to Conduct Hearing July 7 In Sgt. Bergdahl Legal Case

What: The U.S. Army will conduct a military legal hearing July 7, 2016, Thursday, on Fort Bragg, N.C., in the case of United States vs. Sgt. Robert B. Bergdahl.

Where: The legal-motions hearing will take place in the Fort Bragg Courtroom on post.

Media will be escorted from the post’s Smith Lake Army Recreation Center parking lot, off Smith Lake Road (adjacent to Honeycutt Road and the Eureka Springs/Carvers Creeks neighborhoods near Fayetteville, N.C.). (Directions are attached.)

When: July 7, 2016 (Thursday) – Registered news media may begin to arrive starting at 6:30 a.m. EDT and not later than 7:30 a.m. EDT July 7 for security in-processing. The open hearing will begin that morning, following a Media Operations Center update.

Media satellite trucks will be escorted after a security orientation at the Smith Lake Army Recreation Area.
