ABANDONING ONE OF THE FEW REMAINING FIBERS OF OUR MORALITY

(May 24, 2016) — It has been quietly reported that the NFL is returning to the government of these once-proud United States over $700,000 which it accepted to “pretend” to be patriotic in “welcoming home” and “thanking” Veterans for their service. These fake “Patriotic Performances” were enacted at over 18 stadiums throughout America.

Sadly, they were not the only sports leagues to accept this “FILTH” money of almost $7 million all told. In the last two years, the Pentagon gave the money to at least ten Major League baseball teams; at least six teams of the National Hockey League; at least eight teams of the National Basketball Association and major league soccer; and the race car “American Standard,” NASCAR itself. Some of America’s best colleges, such as Purdue and Indiana University, also took taxpayer money to show “pretend love and affection” for the only true American heroes…the American combat soldier.

No one else has yet to stand up and say they were going to return this “blood money.” I don’t recall even hearing an apology from any of these profiteers.

This is a scandal that was given very little media attention and should have torn at the very fiber of what used to make this country great. I am deeply ashamed at today’s depleted version of an ethically-dedicated and morally- obligated media. Having interacted with the media since 1985 with the unified purpose of helping We-The-People of America, I can only express my dissatisfaction by declaring that I have more faith and trust in a car salesman or a politician than today’s media. The decline of the media’s reporting obligation on such an anti-American, traitorous performance coincides with the decline of all else that is occurring in an America that once had potential.

There are NO excuses to be made by either government or sports teams for this deception and betrayal of loyalty to both soldier and country alike. They could have all easily said “No” and shown their distaste for such a disgusting concept, but they didn’t.  They accepted the money.  They promoted these “Patriotic Days” to induce more patrons into the stadium and thus actually made money with the false ceremonies. Self-serving greed which should have been publicly denounce and had many participants change their addresses to the local penitentiary has passed quietly by and over the heads of 300 million people who have accepted greed, lies, betrayal, and deception as everyday occurrences.

By the way, it is further reported that all of the sports leagues received over $53 million from your government for other alleged advertising and promotions such as military recruitment.  These alleged recruitment expenditures fly in the face of the ugly but true fact that the military has been downsizing since the alleged leader has occupied our White House. Why would there be a need to spend $53 million in taxpayer dollars to wealthy sports leagues for recruitment that is NOT needed? Who hires when they are downsizing?  This was another slap in our American soldiers’ faces.

I don’t think you’ll find any media too interested in finding out any of these essential facts.

The stadiums and arenas of sports competitions will continue to fill to capacity, for the brainwashing of what we call “fans” is just about complete. The media will constantly and daily report on the injuries, misfortune, or bad luck that may befall a rich, successful sports figure. They will call them “legends,” “heroes,” or the overused term “icon,” all because they play a game.

No one will report on the tragedies and hardship that befall a coming-home Veteran because he is taken for granted and used to his inevitable demise, compliments of an uncaring society.

The military combat veteran, protecting our rights and freedoms, and willing to die for you, will continue his or her duties, though now, more than ever before, never knowing WHY. Perhaps they hope that someday they will come home to a sincere country that really cares and does NOT have to “outsource” loyalty, patriotism, and sincerity.
