Ben Carson Pilloried by Media for Promoting Common Sense

“THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT PROMOTE SELF-DEFENSE”

Dr. Benjamin Carson is a retired neurosurgeon and 2016 Republican presidential candidate

(Oct. 7, 2015) — Presidential candidate Ben Carson angered many by suggesting that instead of just standing around waiting to be shot by some prescription drug, mind-addled nut with a gun, people should instead choose to defend themselves by attacking the shooter before he/she kills everyone.

My mind is not programmed to accept political correctness, so I can’t understand how Carson’s ideas disrespect the memory of those who chose to stand meekly and wait until the shooter got around to them. Of course the government does not promote self-defense but would rather you dial 911 and die. Alive you do nothing to support their anti-gun agenda.

We should all be aware that the Public Fool system has long since bred self-defense and common sense out of its inmates and parolees.

Perhaps the good doctor’s biggest mistake in venturing into common sense with those who make their living pretending it doesn’t exist was when he made the proposal that teachers should be armed. An armed and trained teacher who takes down the next school shooter would not only destroy the agenda of hand-wringing politicians who fear guns, but would fully illustrate the benefits of the Second Amendment.

Could it be that George Orwell is writing the script for today’s events? Wasn’t it just a few short weeks ago that this same media was touting the heroism of three UNARMED American tourists who attacked and foiled an armed shooter on a French train? Were these three men not in the same situation as those who were in the room with an armed gunman in Oregon? Did they not risk their lives by attacking a person who was armed and intended to commit mayhem on the passengers on that train? How many funerals would there have been had these men not acted?

How many fewer funerals would there be in Oregon this week if some of those who were being asked about their faith before they were shot attacked the gunman? What is that Bible verse again—“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends?”

Hey, and what is up with CNN allegedly retouching a photo of the Oregon shooter to make him appear to be white rather than mixed race? Why are they not interviewing his BLACK mother and her family? Why did several news outlets immediately revert to the standard script when reporting the shooting? I personally heard and saw a member of the CBS news team claim “white supremacist” material was found on his computer. CNN correspondent Pamela Brown rambled on about his “hatred of blacks” and the vaunted LA Times wrote of his being a “white supremacist.” Was it coincidence the LA Times cited a “federal law enforcement source close to the investigation?”

The problem I have with Dr. Carson is not his promotion of common sense, which would include arming and training teachers, but his belief that all of us should be vaccinated whether we like it or not.

Wake up, Ben. If you can’t say no, especially to government—-you are not free!
