CAN A GRASSROOTS CANDIDATE OBTAIN ENOUGH SUPPORT?

(Aug. 7, 2015) — Over the past four years Denver Jones has traversed NYS many times and spent countless hour in Albany forming a coalition of plain folks and legislators dedicated to rooting out and correcting our government’s massive corruption, insane governing procedures misguided programs.
Denver made a full attempt to secure a Republican nomination for the special election to be held this November for the replacement of the now convicted Tom Libous. The Republican committee rejected Denver’s bid and choose one of their own insiders – the longtime secretary of the Broome Republican executive committee.
Denver Jones had begun a petitioning process for an independent line, thinking that gives people other than republicans a choice when voting. Denver considered bowing out after the Republican Committee refused him an interview and choose another candidate, BUT, a ground swell of supporters have urged him to continue.
Denver now says, “Let the people decide. If enough people support me with 2 hours of their time I will know it should be my destiny to continue on.”
Collecting 6,000 signatures is a daunting task for a small team. It’s a simple task if 600 or more people share the task. For the TaxPayers Line nominating ballot any registered voter in the district can sign and any registered voter from NYS can collect signatures. If you live within Broome, Tioga or Chenango counties signers can be 10 of your friends, relatives and coworkers or a walk down 2 streets on any day at 6pm will get Denver at least 10 signatures on his ballot. 2 hours is all it takes by 600 or more people and Denver will be on the ballot as the real New York people’s candidate.
