Dear NY Legislator:
Ethics matter and Cuomo’s ethics in handling of the legislature is offensive and unproductive. Cuomo rules the legislature like nothing ever seen before. He treats lawmakers like they are his servants. Discussing Cuomo in the NY daily news this Quote was made: “That’s what he does,” said one Assembly Democrat. “It’s government by temper tantrum. Cuomo MUST relinquish his grip on government. Everyone knows that. Cuomo can be shown the fear of him has ended. The legislature might then be able to enact proper education, job creation and other good legislation.
From Education to reform from A to Z it is only Cuomo’s way – bipartisan across the board he does not listen. So how can Cuomo be shown he must NOT rule with such a heavy hand? There is a great way to send him a message: Fully Repeal the Safe Act. End this ill thought of legislation and begin over again with better commonsense regulations.
Fully Repeal the Safe Act and start over again with a better bill that truly addresses crime and the mentally ill. This is a bipartisan way that will gain respect and bring back the proper authority to the NY legislature.
Every County is unsatisfied with the way Cuomo is handing out the billions in windfall as if it were a casino – Repeal the Safe Act and let the legislature have a hand in better distribution of the taxpayers’ money.
There is no downside in repealing the Safe Act but there is a bright light for NYS by repealing it. Please take part in this bipartisan effort to right our state government and rid us of the problematic Safe Act at the same time. Thank you.

PS: 85% of the NY Counties passed resolutions to repeal the Safe Act. A similar letter is being sent to every county. The teachers in this state mow realize Albany mistakes too. They’re also on the list. Don’t forget the Farmers Assoc. and many others fine groups of people that are upset too.

In these times of stress and stain times OUR county needs a fair shake. Albany is picking and choosing winners and losers. Every county needs an equal opportunity to pull US up and Cuomo should not be allowed to force US into his way.
Please read the county letter below and consider its validity. Then read the letter intended for the legislators. Please contact every state legislator you can and ask them to support – cosponsor and vote for S01193 Senate / A03942 Assembly.
County message:
Every County is dissatisfied with the way Cuomo is handing out the billions in windfall. A survey says 87% of the counties want the money distributed equally. No one approves of Cuomo using the money as a weapon.
Cuomo rules with a heavy hand. The legislators’ hands are tied – bipartisan across the board. Cuomo needs to lose his grip. That can happen. Tell our state legislators to fully repeal the Safe Act. The Safe Act is a stand along issue. It has no effect on any other negotiations. It does no harm to anything the legislature is working on and it wins friends in the public.
Tell ALL state legislators Fully Repeal the Safe Act and start over again with a better bill that truly addresses crime and the mentally ill. This is a bipartisan way that will gain respect and bring back the proper authority to the NY legislature.
