by Sharon Rondeau

(Mar. 5, 2015) — On March 29, the North Carolina chapter of the national organization Oathkeepers is hosting a rally in the town of Faith, NC for anyone wishing to take an oath to the support and defend the U.S. Constitution or to reaffirm a previous oath.

The event will be held at Faith American Legion Park, 115 Gannt Street, Faith, North Carolina 28041. A map of the area can be found here.

Special guests who will be speaking at the event include U.S. Army veteran, radio host and constitutional educator KrisAnne Hall, public speaker Wild Bill for America, former North Carolina state representative and U.S. Marine veteran Glen Bradley, and Sheriff Richard Mack, who has been recovering from a heart attack suffered in early January.  Several other guests will complete the roster of speakers.

The event website states that “This will be the first of several events hosted across the state to encourage our veterans, peace officers, first responders and others to HONOR YOUR OATH and Defend the Constitution.”

Organizer Rick Johnson told The Post & Email that “The town of Faith,  NC was chosen for its name.   Without ‘Faith’ our efforts to defend will fail.”

The North Carolina Oathkeepers has posted a code of conduct which requires members to “respect the personal dignity of all members, especially in resolving disagreements” and to “be honest and truthful with other members, and will avoid deception at all costs,” among other attributes.

The event begins at 1:00 p.m. and ends at 5:00 p.m. EST and will take place “rain or shine.”  The suggested donation for individual tickets is $5.00; for those who cannot afford to buy a ticket, free ones are available.

Entertainment will be provided by “The Nut Drivers.”

The small town of Faith is home to “one  of  the  largest  4th  of  July  Celebration  [sic] in  the  state  of  North Carolina.”
