NEW YORK GRASSROOTS CITIZEN SAYS GUN-CONTROL LAW WAS “BACKWARD THINKING”

by New York State Grassroots Groups

Is there enough support to convince politicians in Albany to repeal the SAFE Act?

(Jan. 19, 2015) — Note: this is one in a series of messages being sent to bring about Repeal of the Safe Act – please stay tuned – AND please spread the word – thanks – Al

Repeal Is Heating Up And Getting Traction.

This time is different. Why? Look at the cosponsors of repeal bills; some are longtime mainstream politicians.

First Nozzolio in the Senate – now Marchione also in the Senate – both cosponsored by Libous.

Also: Tenney has reintroduced her bill in the Assembly AND she is looking at introducing a companion bill to Nozzolio’s Senate bill.

“We the People” MUST take action NOW – Immediately. Plan protests and actions for the immediate future.

Below Marchione’s bill: There is a “pending” comment by Al Belardinelli. Please read to the bottom to see some of the valid reasoning for repealing gun control.

Comments:

Al Belardinelli January 17, 2015 • Hold on, this is waiting to be approved by NY Senate Open Legislation Service.

  • As we all realize now, the Safe Act was an irrational response to a horrendous crime in Connecticut. We were misguided. We were influenced to fear guns more than the criminal that perpetrated a horrendous crime. The reaction was backward thinking.
  • From the crimes of Ferguson to the terrorism in Paris and in every loss of life, property and wellbeing in between it has become evident that the safety of the citizenry depends on the unfettered, easy, inexpensive possession of state-of-the-art firearms by the general population.
  • Criminals and terrorists are stopped with equal or greater force. Disarming the general population enables and encourages violence against society.
  • Unintended consequence: Gun control laws are restrictions – weapons that enable criminal activity.
  • Yes, the willingness of decent people to defend loved ones and their fellow man is a righteous virtue that should not be impeded in any way and, as a matter of fact, should be praised and encouraged.
  • A logical approach: The art of self-defense is an essential art to learn. Educate the children – Train America.
  • The passage of the Safe Act was an illogical and lawless government action and must be repealed.
