“AFRAID TO SPEAK THE TRUTH”

(Dec. 26, 2014) — “It’s in them ears, is what it is, and make no mistake about it. You want to spot a snake-oil salesman, a shyster, just listen because they sure as heck aren’t. No, if you want to sell something you got to give ’em what they want, and the only way to know what they want is for them to tell you what they want. The key to sales is the ears, understand? and not a bunch of hot air by people who like the sound of their own voice.”
That was my introduction to “How to Sell: 101.”
The professor continued: “Take them here politicians. They talk-talk-talk because they’re not sellin’ anything, they’re buyin’. What? Your vote, is what. They talk a lot because they don’t want to be interrupted by questions. That’s right, questions such as ‘Are you, or aren’t you, a supporter of the laws on the books?’ Of course they’ll answer that they’re beholden to the ‘Law-and-Order’ faction; they’d be fools not to. But ask them about deporting illegal immigrants, then all of a sudden they change their tune because them’s afeared of the mainstream-left-wing-media. Feared of being called meaningless names like, you know, ‘racist’ and ‘bigot,’ words that once had meaning but now are just literary excuses used by people who don’t know what they’re talking about.
“And there’s more. They like to use the flag as a prop to convince people that they’re oh-so-patriotic. Hogwash. If they were so dog-darn ‘patriotic’ they wouldn’t need any props. A military veteran with an Honorable Discharge is what’s we need. Not one of these so-called ‘patriotic’ candidates has an ounce of sacrifice in his bones.
“How many of them spent Thanksgiving 8,000 miles from home? How many spent Christmas Day running for their very lives from a mortar round? How many went months cut off from any communication with the outside world?
“If they couldn’t make the sacrifice for their country at a young age, what in heaven’s name do you think they’ll sacrifice in their 40’s, 50’s, 60’s, 70’s? Get real: they won’t.
“Who gave the Stand-Down order for the cavalry for Benghazi? Why did Obama kill Muammar Gaddafi? Overthrow Hosni Mubarak? Refuse to give aid to Israel when the rockets were falling like rain? Wouldn’t have anything to do with Muslims in our military, would it?
“I’ll tell you why, but the politicians won’t tell you why. Why, they won’t even mention it. ‘You’re not a Birther, are you? You’re anti-immigration?’ ‘Well, no, but I’m anti-illegal immigration.’ ‘Is Obamacare the law of the land or not?’ Hey, people, so was prohibition, understand?
“And that goes for everything that this most corrupt administration has pushed on the American people. An open door to Muslims from anywhere in the world but closed to all Christians from the Middle East. Christians slaughtered, every day.
“No, we are not a Muslim country. And, from now on, call a mosque for what it is: an armory for the Islamic takeover.
“So, these so-called ‘contenders’ for the 2016 presidential election are all just cheap imitations of, of what? Appeasement? Surrender? Excuses for no backbone? Losers? I’m afraid so, and you say that this bunch of embarrassing politicians is our future hope? You say that we’re putting our future in their hands when they’re all afraid to speak the truth, let alone think it?
“The truth is I wouldn’t have any of them to my house for lunch, and if by chance any of them did show up, I’d chase them away by the point of my shotgun. Thank God for our 2nd Amendment.
“So, to sum it all up, America is, once again, getting the short end of the stick. And it’s not about economics. It’s not about religion. It’s not about anything other than plain and simple education. You see, the government, this government, wants everyone as stupid as viewers of ‘The View.” And that’s what we have, just about. So they point at the 2014 elections; big deal. It’s like saying ‘Look, we know we’re getting shafted; so what?’
“So what? ‘The Art of the Sale’ is to make you buy something you don’t want or need. We can certainly do without any of the gutter-dwellers vying for position to be on the 2016 presidential ballot. Proof? Since when has any of them questioned Obama’s ineligibility? Since when has any of them been asked the question, ‘You’re not a Birther, are you?’”
