IS OBAMA SET TO VIOLATE ANOTHER FEDERAL LAW?

by Sharon Rondeau

(Nov. 19, 2014) — Early Wednesday afternoon, Numbers USA reported in an email alert that Barack Obama will set forth an “executive action” plan to grant “amnesty” to millions of people residing in the country illegally as reported by The Washington Post.

The bulletin urges Americans to contact Speaker of the House John Boehner’s office at 888-995-2106 to express their views on “executive amnesty.”

Obama’s plan is widely viewed as unpopular and detrimental to the nation on both the political left and right.

On Tuesday, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest had said that the announcement would be made in the near future.

On November 7, newly re-elected Republicans lunched with Obama while asking him to reconsider launching an amnesty plan until the new Congress could consider alternatives after it is sworn in.

Cornell Law’s Legal Information Institute states that “Congress has complete authority over immigration. Presidential power does not extend beyond refugee policy. Except for questions regarding aliens’ constitutional rights, the courts have generally found the immigration issue as nonjusticiable.”

At the bottom of the Numbers USA message appears a series of statements made by Obama on his lack of authority to circumvent Congress on immigration and other matters.  He now claims he has “executive authority” to make changes to immigration policies.

Article I, Section 1 of the U.S. Constitution states that law-making is the purview of Congress, not the chief executive.  However, Congress has taken little action to restrain Obama as he has unilaterally “changed” Obamacare and allowed young illegal aliens to remain in the country by executive action.

The Post said that an amnesty advocate had “inadvertently” declared the upcoming announcement in an email to a group of reporters.

Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson said on Wednesday that Obama’s plan of action includes more border security, but Obama has been known to lie.

Just like “denial” is a river in Egypt, so “illegal” is a sick bird. The American Eagle, and what it represents, is an endangered species.
