WHERE THE TANGIBLE AND INTANGIBLE MEET

(Sep. 10, 2014) — There are different kinds of inventions. There are physical inventions, such as the light bulb. There are intellectual inventions, such as “the pursuit of happiness.” Today we’ll discuss the marriage between the two: why the intellectual needs the physical.

People everywhere act about the same the world over. From an isolated tribe in the Amazon basin to the inhabitants of modern-day Tokyo, the common characteristic is the resistance to change. Usually it’s only when the apple cart gets turned over that people see the light and act accordingly. Desperate situations will goad people into immediate and decisive action. An ambush in the jungle will get one’s attention even before the sound of gunfire is heard: the feeling of a bullet just missing your head is s pretty good indicator that the plans that you had for the next 30 seconds are now drastically changed forever, as an example.

Sometimes a person’s world-view is so warped that no amount of reasoning will prevail. In Mel Gibson’s movie, “Apocalypto,” we readily understand the reason for the depravity in believing that human sacrifice is the engine that drives the sun. The scene on top of the pyramid explains why: the ruling class has inbred so much that any apathy that they once may have possessed is, literally, out-the-door-and-down-the-steps.

The same can be said for other belief systems:  Socialism, for example. Once again the belief that you can get something for nothing is desirable for those who wish to ignore hidden costs. Every action produces a reaction; the trick is to produce a beneficial perpetual reaction. No amount of moving the pieces around the board will produce an ear of corn. The only corn producer is attributed to the person who cleared the land, planted the seed and nurtured the plant by weeding, fertilizing and watering, and harvesting. Capitalism is the driving force that connects the farmer to the consumer, so capitalism is a physical force. Socialism, on the other hand, does not address the ways and means, just the distribution of labor and capital, so Socialism is an intellectual exercise that looks great on paper but fails miserably in the real world.

The ruling class of the Pyramid People had a belief that their world-view was the only and correct possible view. That they suffered from tunnel vision is a given. And even though the USA may not be handicapped by inbreeding, she is certainly penalized for a steadfast, but wrong, belief that the Administration of the government since January 20, 2009 has been a positive force for the longevity of the Constitution, and, therefore, America itself.

This Administration has dumbed-down millions of Americans into believing that Obama was ever vetted, and, therefore, even eligible to be in this country legally. Those who work in the election boards are satisfied that Obama’s name on the 2008 ballot was valid and, therefore, was just as valid in the 2012 election. Our government employees have taken the place of the idiots on top of the pyramid, and no amount of proof that Obama is wantonly destroying the USA is going to penetrate their warped belief system. Obots ignore the fraudulent Selective Service Registration, stolen Social Security card, fake Birth Certificates, and so on, where any one of the felonies committed should get him (Obama) a one-way ticket to Gitmo, along with his Muslim-loving sidekick, Eric Holder.

So what is the marriage between the physical and the intellectual? Simple: the 2nd Amendment. YOUR gun is needed to protect your rights; that’s the marriage.
