Author of Obama Articles of Impeachment Confirms Review by House Judiciary Committee

(Jun. 14, 2014) — On June 5, The Post & Email reported exclusively that a source and reader of The Post & Email had been told by a congressional staffer that Articles of Impeachment were being prepared against Barack Hussein Obama.

The following day, radio show host and writer Dr. Laurie Roth told The Post & Email that in an interview with constitutional attorney Michael Connelly, Connelly stated that someone in Congress had begun reviewing the Articles he wrote in February.

Connelly hosts a weekly radio show on America’s Web Radio and has produced an informational booklet on the U.S. Constitution.  His instruction includes two YouTube videos, one on the Articles of the Constitution and the second covering the Bill of Rights.

In his first video, Connelly castigated Obama for bypassing Congress to make his own “laws,” while also faulting Congress for not adhering to its own constitutional restraints.

Connelly specifically objects to the NDAA law, which he says “suspends habeas corpus” and other constitutional rights.  He illustrated that he believes Obama has violated federal laws in regard to illegal immigration and state laws passed to combat voter fraud, thereby violating the concept of state sovereignty.  “The Constitution gives him no authority to make laws,” Connelly said.  “He has destroyed Article II of the Constitution.”

On Monday, Connelly confirmed on his blog that after having sent the Articles to “over 200 select members of the House of Representatives” in the winter without any apparent results, “it has now been confirmed that one or perhaps more members of the House have referred the articles to the House Judiciary Committee for consideration.”

Connelly said that he believes that now, “there is real movement on the Impeachment front” and urged constituents whose representatives sit on the Judiciary Committee “to contact their representative and urge them to vote the Articles out of committee.”

The committee consists of 22 Republicans and 17 Democrats.  The congressman or woman for whom the staffer who spoke to The Post & Email’s source works is not on the committee.

We were told that during the conversation, the staffer referred to involvement in the process by “Congress” in general rather than just one particular congressman or woman.

Connelly also reported that attendees at Operation American Spring (OAS), which launched on May 16, had asked him if they could provide hard copies of the Articles to congressmen during their stay in Washington, to which he had “readily” granted his permission.  OAS seeks the resignations of Obama, Joe Biden, Reps. Nancy Pelosi and John Boehner, Sens. Mitch McConnell and Harry Reid, Eric Holder and others for refusing to uphold their oaths of office.

In his post, Connelly said that although Obama’s removal from office might not be achieved even if the Republicans win the Senate in November, the Senate trial which would ensue has the potential to unearth information and documents which have not yet been made available to Congress and the public.  “The special prosecutors appointed by the House will have extraordinary powers to cut through Executive Privilege and get documents and testimony that Obama has kept hidden.  The American people will finally get the information about this man and his actions that have been denied,” Connelly wrote.

As the new executive director of the United States Justice Foundation (USJF), Connelly is also spearheading an eligibility lawsuit in California against Obama for which he stated a scheduled hearing has been delayed.  In a newsletter sent to email subscribers, Connelly wrote:

California’s State Attorney General’s Office just asked for another delay in our historic Obama eligibility court case.

This is great news. It shows that Mr. Obama’s allies are terrified of losing this legal battle, and they need more time to prepare.

Connelly closes the Articles of Impeachment with:

Barack Hussein Obama has undermined the integrity of his office, has brought disrepute on the Presidency, has betrayed his trust as President and has acted in a manner subversive of the rule of law and justice, to the manifest injury of the people of the United States.

Wherefore, Barack Hussein Obama, by such conduct, warrants impeachment and trial, and removal from office and disqualification to hold and enjoy any office of honor, trust or profit under the United States.

“It is time to move on this,” Connelly said on his blog.

Connelly is a U.S. Army veteran and through the USJF, has represented veterans who have been “questioned about firearms ownership” when seeking care at Veterans Administration hospitals.  He has challenged “restrictive New Jersey gun laws” and sued on behalf of a gun owner who was the subject of a no-knock search warrant in Texas to defend his Second Amendment rights.
