“TE DEUM LAUDAMUS!”
by Sharon Rondeau
(May 18, 2014) — The Post & Email, Martha Trowbridge, and Pastor Emeritus Nathan Bickel will be hosting the WheresObamasBirthCertificate.com radio show prayer service from Operation American Spring (OAS) beginning at 10:00 a.m.
The words of a Latin hymn by the same name are here.
Organized by Col. Harry Riley (Ret.), OAS launched on Friday and has called on Obama, Biden and top leaders in Congress to resign because of corruption and the violation of their oaths to uphold the U.S. Constitution.
Coverage of Saturday’s events is here.
The service began at 10:00 sharp at the Lincoln Memorial with a prayer and several songs, including “God Bless America.” After some technical difficulties, the speaker and then singers could be heard.
Mike Volin said that a choir assembled at 9:00 a.m. in preparation for the service. At 10:10 a.m., listeners could hear “The Battle Hymn of the Republic” being sung.
Volin described OAS as a “grassroots” effort and the prayer service as “focused on everybody singing.”
At 10:13 a.m., Volin said that people were “starting to jump up and down.” He commented that the “speaker system seems to have distortion in it” and said he would have it checked.
A male sang a short solo at 10:15 which Volin described as a “spontaneous chorus.” “There’s no pamphlet, there’s no brochure…people just gathered around…we just gathered around peacefully…” Volin said. “There’s no apprehension in the air.”
Volin said that more people are flying in to Washington on Sunday and described an air of friendliness and openness among attendees.
At 10:30 a.m., Volin announced that Pastor Wiley Drake had stated during his sermon that Obama has “no legitimate birth certificate.” Volin said that he did not ask Drake to say that, although he has met with Drake, Riley and others extensively over the last two and one-half days since his arrival in Washington.
Volin then announced Pastor Mark from Wisconsin, a disabled Vietnam veteran whose photo is featured in a previous article at The Post & Email. Mark suffers from Agent Orange poisoning and “can barely move his hands.” He gave “all the glory to God” in his short sermon.
At 10:29 a.m., another song was heard from a chorus followed by applause.
At 10:41, Trowbridge asked who the speaker was, to which Volin responded, “the speaker’s unidentified,” but then she was identified as “Kari,” a friend of Miki Booth. Kari is from California and shared some photos on Facebook on Friday, one of which was used in The Post & Email’s coverage of OAS on Friday.
Trowbridge asked Kari what brought her to OAS, to which she responded that reading about Atty. Orly Taitz’s work engaged her in activism wherein she met Booth, Drake, YouTube video creator Rudy Davis, and eventually, she began distributing Volin’s “Sheriff’s Kits” to inform the public about the findings of fraud and forgery in Obama’s long-form birth certificate and Selective Service registration form by the Maricopa County, AZ Cold Case Posse.
Kari called OAS attendees “the greatest group of people in America today.”
At 10:48 a.m., Volin said that Drake called upon motorcyclists’ groups to come to Washington and that about 150 “bikers” would be arriving soon.
Volin said that he estimated the prayer service crowd to number about 800.
Volin commented that he brought about 300 Sheriff’s Kits to Washington this weekend and has “about 50” left. Last November, Volin and about 20 volunteers distributed kits to members of Congress, although none has confirmed viewing it. Staffers have been evasive about whether or not they actually gave the DVDs to the congressmen for whom they work.
David Small then spoke to the hosts and said that he was attracted to OAS because “we have a usurper in office.” Small is Volin’s “Washington, DC contact” and was one of the volunteers who distributed kits in November. He said there is “no way” that someone would present a forged birth certificate is he were constitutionally eligible to serve. Trowbridge contended that there is a “deliberate” attempt to destroy the country, with which Small agreed.
At 10:52 a.m., Volin announced that Pastor Sylvester Bland of California was speaking.
Volin reported at 10:55 that he was “told that people have come from Israel” to OAS.
Bickel said that “evil” has manifested itself in the U.S. government today. “There are times of refreshing,” he said, referring to change that he believes can happen for the better.
At 10:55 a.m., “Tea Party Tom” spoke with the hosts and said he traveled from Texas to Washington for just one day, after which he will return to his home in California. Tom described a meeting in a district office with Rep. Kevin McCarthy, who told him that the Republican Party “was not interested” in investigating Obama’s fraudulent Selective Service registration form “unless his constituents request it.”
Tom said that if the questions over Obama’s legitimacy had been addressed earlier, “we might not be dealing with Benghazi” and other scandals.
Tom stated that he went to the Bundy ranch last month after it was expected that BLM agents were going to arrest Bundy family members and “take them off their property.” “It’s just beyond belief,” Tom said, describing the militarization of U.S. government departments.
Trowbridge said that Hitler’s techniques were similar.
At 11:16, Col. Riley stated on air that he wants more people to come to OAS so that they can “stand longer.”
At 11:19, Leonard Volodarsky came on air and told his story of being born into Soviet communism. His father is a World War II veteran who fought in the Russian Army, escaped from a German prison, was accused of war crimes by the Russians and sentenced to “50 years in the Gulag.” After Stalin died in 1953, such prisoners were released, including Volodarsky’s father.
Volodarsky said that he is “privileged to be part of this movement that we have in America now.”
At 11:26, Pastor Bland spoke with the hosts, telling them that his “heart was full” after seeing the gathering at OAS so far. “I believe more and more people will join this movement because it is so RIGHT!” he said.
At 11:37 a.m., Volin announced that the prayer service had ended. There will be a meeting of OAS attendees at 8:00 a.m. at the Aerospace Museum, which Volin said is the general meeting place for OAS.
Volin said that his team “has been getting up early” to go into the city each morning. “I haven’t had one complaint from my crew at all,” he said, thanking those who have helped him with his OAS endeavor. Trowbridge mentioned that Volin has been an activist “for years” and asked Volin to give an overview of his efforts at WheresObamasBirthCertificate.com.
Volin explained that he created the “Sheriff’s Kits” after the Cold Case Posse declared Obama’s documentation fraudulent in order to inform the public. Thousands have been distributed, including to members of major media. Volin said he has interviewed Riley, today’s hosts, Volodarsky, Carl Gallups, Mike Zullo, and many others to discuss Americans’ loss of freedom, the Obama identity/eligibility issue, and other matters of concern.
Volin said people have been walking up to him at OAS and asking, “Aren’t you Mike Volin?” He found it “amazing” that so many people of all ages and from all places in the country came to Washington.
At 11:50, Jeff Harrison recounted his thoughts about the prayer service. “I’ve met a lot of nice people,” he said, recalling several disabled people who came despite any physical difficulties they are experiencing. Harrison encouraged those who cannot be there to send letters to their congressmen and “do what they can do.”
Pastor Mark came on the air at 11:53 a.m. and described his experiences in Washington, thanking God for the OAS gathering.
The broadcast ended at 11:58.
