PRIMARIES ARE IMPORTANT

by Nicholas E. Purpura, TPATH Contributor, ©2014

(Apr. 27, 2014) — The 2014 mid-term election could be most significant in American history. Whether you’re a Republican or Democrat read carefully why the primary is about the candidate, not any political party.

When it comes to slimy diabolical schemes, the Democratically controlled legislatures in 10-states, New Jersey being one of those ten states, have thus far have signed on to what is referred to as the “National Popular Vote Compact.”  Combined, these states account for 165 electoral votes. Twenty others are on the fence. If the progressives/Marxists achieve their goal of 270 votes it would effectively do away with the Electoral College, ending the two-party system.  Every state’s total electoral votes would go to the winner of the national popular vote. The result; the progressive-Marxist-Democratic Party will totally rule the United States thereafter. This is scary folks.  God forbid they reach their goal.

Failure to get involved in the June 3rd primary will result in progressive/establishment incumbents in both political parties continuing the same failed policies. The Republican Party has become nothing more than window dressing to give the illusion of a two party system. It’s time for men/women of true high moral character to replace those who have failed their constituents and their country.

First let me preface my reasoning to vote for those true Constitutionalists supported by TeamNJ in the primary. The progressive movement wants to institute yet another unconstitutional law “The National Popular Vote Compact.” I ask; where was the Republican party outcry to this violation of the U.S. Constitution?  See, Article 1 Section 10, Para. 3 is specific; “No State shall, without the Consent of Congress, Compact with another State …”

There’s only one appropriate way to abolish the Electoral College. That is through the Amendment process and thereafter have the states ratify the Amendment. Americans have had enough with circumventing the Constitution.  As our newest addition to our Team Gerard McManus says: “Believe in The Rule of Law.”

No better reason exists for you the voter to support those candidates listed by TeamNJ. The Executive Branch, (through Executive Orders) and Judiciary through Judicial Activism, are shedding the U.S. Constitution on a daily basis. Government is out of control. If for no other reason, it is imperative “We the People” send true Constitutionalists to Congress.

TeamNJ Constitutional Candidates in the June Primary:

District 3:  Mayor Steve Lonegan: The choice is simple, a true Constitutionalist who has a long and solid history of fighting progressivism.  A man who’s positions have not changed. He is pro-life, pro-2nd Amendment, pro-drilling and energy independence.  Mayor Lonegan will fight to repeal Obama-care and opposes any increase in the debt ceiling or raising existing taxes or the establishment of new ones.

Lonegan’s primary opponent, Tom MacArthur, is a GOP establishment progressive who appears to have purchased the Republican line.

  1. Macarthur, CEO of an insurance company which is being sued under the RICO statute for conspiring to deny Firefighters their claims while injured on the job.
  2. MacArthur is anti-Second Amendment.
  3. MacArthur is pro-amnesty.
  4. MacArthur has a firm history of raising  taxes.
  5. MacArthur favors the Federal Reserve controlling our money supply.
  6. MacArthur is committed to an agenda of social engineering.

Reading Tom MacArthur’s campaign literature one will note it fails to reference the above items and in fact his literature has no relationship with his actual record.

MacArthur won this year’s TeamNJ  “Pinocchio Award.”

District 7:  David Larson: A Reagan Conservative, businessman, is pro-life and pro-Second Amendment. David is an advocate for small government, strong on National Security and pro-energy independence. He will vote to repeal Obama-care and is strong on immigration laws and securing the borders.

Larsen’s opponent, Leonard Lance is a third generation career politician.

  1. Lance favors cap & trade.
  2. Earmarks for special interest groups.
  3. Favors more firearms restrictions.
  4. Lance voted to fund Obama-Care.
  5. Lance supported Hillary Clinton’s scheme to push abortion worldwide.
  6. He voted against denying tax-payer monies to Planned Parenthood.

As does MacArthur (above), Lance speaks and campaigns as a conservative but votes and supports progressive, liberal policies.

District 11:  Rick Van Glahn:  A family man with character and two sons in the Marines. Rick is Deacon in his church and true constitutionalist who is pro-life, favors term limits, is pro-Second Amendment and will vote to end Obama-care. He advocates secure  borders and enforcement of US immigration laws.

Rick’s opponent, Rodney Frelinghuysen, has been at the government trough for over 20 years.

  1. Frelinghuysen is the quintessential establishment Blue Blood Republican.
  2. Has 16-year record as a nanny statist.
  3. He is pro-abortion.
  4. Has a record of supporting environmental extremism.
  5. Consistent with most establishment progressives he is a proponent of special interests.
  6. Regularly votes to raise the debt ceiling voted to increase base discretionary spending.
  7. Frelinghuysen refused to vote to defund Obama-care.
  8. He is against reforming the out of control tax code.
  9. He has supported anti-business tax legislation.
  10. Opposed legislation that would have expedited  the process for issuing drilling permits.
  11. As far as border security Frelinghuysen is nowhere to be found.

Team NJ is pleased to announce
two more Candidates we are proud to support
in the June 3rd primary.

District1:   Gerard McManus:
A man that believes in Rule the of Law, and as are all TeamNJ supported candidates, Gerard is pro-life,  pro-Second Amendment, pro energy independence,  pro-business, pro-legal immigration and supports the fair-tax.

Gerard’s opponent, Garry Cobb, appears to be a fine family man, but leaves much to be desired concerning the national problems facing our nation. Garry’s attention is focused on rescuing Camden and jobs for South Jersey and wants to revitalize Camden with the help of loving people.  Also after reading the issues page on  his campaign website one will have no idea as to his position on the major problems facing this country.  Lack of commitment will not get a TeamNJ endorsement.

District 2:  Mike Assad: Another TeamNJ Constitutional Conservative who is pro-life, against raising the debt-ceiling the implementation of any additional taxes.  Mike will work to uphold all our civil liberties, especially our Second and Fourth Amendment rights. He suports the ‘fair Tax and eliminating the IRS and favors term limits.

Mike’s opponent, Frank LoBiondo, yet another life time RINO with a 20-year terrible voting record.

  1. Voting for LoBiondo will ensure continued wasteful spending of your tax dollars.
  2. LoBiando supports Obama’s NSA spying.
  3. LoBiando is anti-drilling.
  4. He voted for cap & trade – which equates to more taxes.
  5. Supported Obama’s cash for clunkers paid for with your tax dollars.
  6. His lifetime voting score is 43%  by the Club for Growth and 44% from the Heritage Foundation.
  7. If one reviewed LoBiando’s voting record, and didn’t know his party affiliation, one would swear he was a Democrat.

TeamNJ is about limited government and the restoration our Constitution. We must rid ourselves of the pathetic leadership by replacing the incumbents listed above in this primary.

Defeating well entrenched, deep pocketed incumbents will not be easy.  Coffers overflowing with special interest money presents a formidable task.  But it can be done.  The “People’s Network” which each and every one of you reading this are a part of, can do the job. We are all connected and we can connect with many, many thousands just by passing on information like this.

Emails, Twitter and Facebook are the weapons “We The People” have that can counteract the big bucks of the establishment.  You can do your part.  So start connecting today.  We can do this.
