Albany April 1 Protest: “It Ain’t About Politics”

(Mar. 26, 2014) — Grassroots demands FULL Repeal of the Safe Act. WE have fought for over a year to achieve our goal. It wasn’t (isn’t) about politics. It is about the people forcing OUR will on those elected to office. Our involvement in the political process puts teeth in OUR protests.

Our rallies, protests and forums always have politicians who speak and say what (so far) turns out to be empty words. Politicians are ALL concerned with elections – FULL Repeal of the Safe Act is a means to the end for ALL of them – getting elected. We MUST keep fighting and make them understand WE MEAN BUSINESS…..and that is why WE must continue to participate in all our events. April 1 IS a protest of the “UN”Safe Act – but WE must realize politics are a part of what WE need to do. April 1 is a new beginning – join US – participate.

Politics has been dividing Grassroots. Many of US do not get the process. IMO – politics and elections are the way WE FORCE government to act on “The Will Of The People”. Unfortunately, WE have to accept the fact that WE must take part in the political process. Loud Voices and Activism is the way for US to force the elected to do as WE say. Make them know they need US more than WE need them. – That’s the key to OUR success.

APRIL 1 A “Draft Trump” Movement Is Set To Begin – Is That Good or Bad For US?

It matters not if you are for or against Trump – drafting him is good for US – Why? Please read on:

A primary is necessary. It is the only way the people have a say. Without a primary, the people are irrelevant. Without a primary, it would be the status-quo picking their choice all over again. A primary would unite the people – why? Because the winner of the primary would be the selection of the candidate that the people chose, and not the one the party shoved down our throat without US having any say in the choice.  Your participation in candidate selection(s) makes Your Vote Count. A Primary really matters.

[It matters not if you are for or against Astorino] If WE do nothing, Astorino will be chosen as the candidate to run against Cuomo. WE will have no say in that. A primary is the only way WE have any say in the entire election. At this point Trump is OUR only hope for a primary – WE should Draft Trump – WE CAN then change the result even more later on in the process. “We the People” still have time to find suitable candidate(s) and help them by drafting others onto the ballot too. WE need NO blessing from the political party. WE collect the petition (ballot) signatures – that’s all it takes to get OUR candidate(s) on the ballot. THEN “We the People” vote in the primary – WE choose who WE WANT to oppose Cuomo in the general election. Yup – OUR votes in the primary have the most meaning in the election process – WE choose the candidate(s) in the primary.

If New York is to have any hope of positive change, WE must step up, defy the political parties and choose our own candidates for governor, senate and assembly. We have until the beginning of June to organize. We have until then to find candidates for all offices – June begins the balloting process. WE CAN collect signatures and get REAL candidates on the ballot…then there would be a REAL reason to vote AND OUR vote would count.
