As it gets colder in Illinois, any excuse to grab a hot chocolate or coffee is a good one; so why not host a Defend the Vote winter holidays’ Get Toasty Party, where you and some friends can enjoy a hot beverage while learning about the integrity of our vote? The security of the vote in Illinois is at an all-time low. Destructive policies and insecure election equipment make getting undetected fraud through the door easier than ever, yet nobody else is trying to plug these gaping security holes. Defend the Vote approaches election security with an eye toward stopping fraud before it can happen, and you can too!
All donations raised at your Get Toasty Party will go toward our fight to get legally certified election machines into Chicago and Suburban Cook County. These strategically important jurisdictions are using uncertified machines, and we are dedicated to getting rid of them before the 2014 elections! We need to raise $15,000 before January 1st to do this, and every penny raised counts towards that effort.
