“SHUT THE DOOR ON VOTER FRAUD”

from DefendtheVote.com

(Nov. 7, 2013) — Mary is talking to her friend, Nick, about the upcoming elections in 2014. “The vote is so corrupt in Illinois,” she complains. “It feels like there’s nothing I can do to make a difference.”

Nick agrees. “I just want to know that my vote is going to count… What’s the point, otherwise?”

How can Mary and Nick help protect their vote from fraud?

Defend the Vote believes the best way to prevent fraud is to stop it before it can happen. We look at how the vote is administered and conduct vulnerability assessments to find where the system is broken. Unfortunately, there are a lot of open doors for voter fraud in Illinois; but together we can close and lock them across the entire state!

Getting involved with your elections is one of the best ways to help prevent fraud. Train to be an election judge or pollwatcher, or volunteer to help Defend the Vote with our Hand-Held Audit during the upcoming elections.

Although we are small, Defend the Vote is mighty. Thanks to our generous donors, we have helped create positive change in how the vote is administered in Chicago and Suburban Cook County. Supporting our programs with small or large donations will help us continue our work to shut the door on voter fraud.

URGENT ISSUE: We are raising funds for our campaign against the illegal election machines currently being used by Suburban Cook County and Chicago. Defend the Vote has the evidence to prove that these machines have never been certified that they meet the 2002 Voting Systems Standards and never will, which is against Illinois Law. To assure the law is enforced will take the expertise of a lawyer.

Defend the Vote is raising money to take this issue into the courts. The timing is incredibly important to achieve the objective of eliminating them from use in the 2014 elections.

Another important project we are working on is the vulnerability assessment conducted by Argonne National Laboratory’s Vulnerability Assessment Team. Their work has helped Defend the Vote uncover many problems with the vote in Illinois, and there is so much left to do!

Please consider making a contribution to this important cause. When you contribute to Defend the Vote you are directly fueling the grassroots movement for election integrity. Thank you for helping us to make a difference!

p.s. Here are a couple of articles we recently published.  We will send you the report about the Edge2Plus memory devices on the voting machines used to record the early vote in Chicago and Suburban Cook County tomorrow or Saturday. 28% of the vote in Illinois is done through early voting….
