NEW ELECTION INTEGRITY INITIATIVES, RADIO SHOW ANNOUNCED

Defend the Vote is proud to announce that we have refreshed our website http://www.defendthevote.com for the summer season! There are over fifteen new articles that have been published online related to election security and how you can help to defend the vote in Illinois. Don’t miss out on our Absentee Voting Report, which provides crucial information on the insecurity of absentee voting in Illinois! You can catch up on what we’ve done in the last three years by looking through our Summary of Operations!

We are holding our first fundraising drive to help jump-start our programs; such as the Vote Defenders’ Hand Held Audit, Electronic Voting, and the Video Coverage of Election Events. We have other programs we are working on too! One of the most critical is to fund our continued work with Argonne National Laboratory’s Vulnerable Assessment Team. With the professionals at Argonne, we are prepared to take on the challenge of the security of electronic voting, and we need your help!

Besides contributing to the projects, we invite you to get involved by joining our advisory board that meets once a month; we meet via phone conferences monthly, and will have in-person meetings every other month starting in September. Furthermore, beginning in August, Defend the Vote is set to host a weekly election security based talk-radio show that will discuss election security. These shows will be available to listen to live from the Internet or to podcast for later listening!

All of Defend the Vote’s programs have been set up to bring accountability into Illinois’ voting system, but we need your help! Can you you make a donation of $25, $35, $50, $100 or more to help get these programs off the ground? Elections are one of the most important and most neglected facets of the great country we live in, and it’s time that We The People step up to make those in charge take responsibility for the gross security oversights in the voting process.
