HAS AMERICA ALREADY FOLDED TO SOCIALISM?

(Jun 2, 2013) — So far, I’ve worked for four separate government agencies, and each one has reinforced my original thesis: working for the government is the last refuge of the capitalist, or else the first step towards becoming a die-hard socialist. You can readily tell which ones are which by their work ethic or complete lack of a work ethic.
In my case, my first foray into the strange world of government employment was when I volunteered to join the military where I learned, first-hand, that if you believe your taxes are going for something other than what is being wasted, all is fair in love and war. But the sad truth is that we can’t earmark where our tax dollars are going, and that’s really too bad, because I can’t say where I’d want my tax dollars to go as much as I can say where I don’t want them to go.
Giving welfare to illegal immigrants isn’t my idea of money well-spent. Pay raises for politicians are another colossal waste, and any money to a school board employee is the quintessential example of government money, our tax dollars, being prevented from any chance of doing good.
Has anyone of you ever owned a boat? The secret of being a successful boat owner is not having one. If you want a boat, borrow or, better yet, rent one. Our government is nothing but a big boat, which is why we refer to her as the “Ship of State.”
Okay, so we’re stuck with a sinking Ship of State. What we need to do is act as salvage experts and grab hold of the wheel and steer her out of harm’s way, away from the shallow shoals of the Federal Reserve, clear of the Homeland Security reefs, and change our course from any “Reform” immigration nonsense and head for the deportation horizon, towards energy independence and a sunrise that will cleanse our land of our enemies and open the door to new beginnings.
We have problems and we have solutions. The first problem is identifying our problems. Asking the government to identify the problems is highly problematic since government IS the problem.
The police: unable, unwilling and following illegal orders in allowing Occupiers to take control of public thoroughfares, failing to oust them when you or I would get towed away, that very night, if we’d tried to park overnight.
If honesty in government were required, 90% of them would fire themselves and forfeit any pension. And that’s about the ratio of honest, dedicated government employees: 10%. One out of ten is worth it. These people “get it” and understand that waste comes right out of their very own pocket. People who uphold their Oath and believe in America are rare individuals. Today there are generations of welfare recipients living on the plantation, playing the “race card” while cashing the government checks. Their very own policy backs the whole welfare system, the plantation system where votes are harvested, legally or not.
After all, “What difference does it make?”

OPOVV,
An excellent article! There is so much to say about the state of government or just the state of government around the world. I have worked with or associated with many people from just about everywhere and nearly all of them will tell you they are or were disgusted with everything to do with the government where they came from. Basically, most of the trustees have learned to use generic methods that procreate their existence and high salaries that may be satisfying to them but have no connection with what the people need or demand from them. They have set up the systems around the world as a disconnect from the public and a retirement pyramid for themselves while ignoring the purpose of what they are supposed to be doing in the first place and that is to serve the people first. With walls of bureaucracy and excuses, they storm in with a game plan and insulate themselves from any accountability or responsible contact and it all rolls along like a skateboard going down hill. I myself am a veteran and saw great potential in the military but also saw a dividing line early on. I couldn’t identify it at first but after time I saw that there was a fine line inside the military and it was politics. Democrat and Republican created a fine line, at the time it hard to see, but it was there in promotions, work ethic, friendship and beliefs. I thought I was serving my country and all was fair but I was sadly mistaken and saw a lot of suffering in there with the families being pulled between traditions of men and just serving your country. Recently we have seen many top Military Command Racketeers, clearly described by LTCDR Walt Fitzpatrick, as running things more to their liking rather than to the fair rules and ethics of our Traditional Military guidelines, bending the accepted rules to benefit their popularity or career benefits/promotions, etc.
