YOUR GOVERNMENT AT WORK?

by Sharon Rondeau

New York was one of the original 13 colonies and known for its majority of loyalists to the British crown during the American Revolution. Loyalists have been described historically as “elites.

(Mar. 11, 2013) — On March 1, 2013, The Post & Email sent a formal letter to New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman after several previous attempts to obtain an answer to a legal question arising in New York State proved fruitless.

At issue is whether or not a Westchester County publication, the Journal News, violated Connecticut law by publishing the names and addresses of Connecticut residents who hold pistol permits in two New York counties.

When we asked the same question of the Connecticut attorney general, his spokesperson obtained a statement the same day which contended that Connecticut law applies only to agencies and departments within the state with the suggestion that we contact the New York attorney general for further clarification.

The press office at Schneiderman’s office has either been unresponsive to our question or misdirected us to an attorney who said he could not comment because he worked “in a political office” in the Criminal Division of the attorney general.  He directed us back to the media office, which again refused to respond to phone messages and emails.

At no time did we refer to our query as a Freedom of Information Act request, which we are aware is a request for documentation.  However, Assistant Attorney General Joshua Pepper read our letter differently and responded accordingly, referring us back to the media office.

Mr. Pepper has a law degree from the New York University School of Law, yet he cannot address, or direct an inquiry to someone who can address, a legitimate legal question?

What is the purpose of a state attorney general’s office if it cannot tackle legal questions which arise, particularly when two states are involved?

Perhaps New York State is directing its resources, extracted from the taxpayers, elsewhere, specifically, to defending “civil servants” who are sued in their official capacities, including the governor.  The attorney general has also refused to answer questions about such “expenditures.”

Although I live in New York I would not accept anything as true and valid. They’re all brain-flushed Democrats and don’t know why.

Thank you for this outreach to NYS. While at it, they might venture an explanation to all US Citizens why its Board of Elections website errantly says “to be born a citizen” is enough to be president. Does an anchor baby born in a US Hospital to illegal alien parents, and with automatic citizenship rights in the parents’ home country(ies), get to be president too?

Who is NYS trying to fool and FOR WHOM are they trying to fool the citizenry?

To WHAT END are they misleading the citizenry and to cover FOR WHOM are they doing it?
