“HYPOCRISY AT ITS FINEST”

Senator Feinstein:
A lot of us have been paying you a lot of money over the years for quite a long time so it seems to me that I have every right to comment on your recent “Assault Weapons Ban of 2013″ proposed bill to the Senate.
I’d have to say it seems an awful lot like your earlier 1994 effort on that subject and is no more sensible than the earlier effort. Can you not realize that the people of this country – Syl Stallone and a few other looney left liberal notables notwithstanding – are not going to allow the three branches of this government to wipe out a huge chunk of the Bill Of Rights like that by Legislative, Executive, or Judicial fiat??? THAT IS NOT THE WAY TO AMEND THE CONSTITUTION … and I’m sure you full well know that.
All of you work for us and the Constitution is the contract we all agreed to a while back (quite a while back in fact). You johnny-come-latelys don’t get to play “Let’s Make A Deal” with that contract unless by Constitutional Amendment. Perhaps you’ve been palling around with too many of the Hollywood crowd and do not grasp that the majority of them cannot distinguish fact from fiction since they’ve been play acting most of their adult life. You, madame, should surely know better, as once before you carefully concealed the fact that you carried a concealed weapon while stumping for a ban on all weapons. I’d say that is hypocrisy at its finest.
Setting that aside, I doubt that few citizens wish to see continued mass killings of those in “gun-free zones” such as have been occurring. Do you genuinely think that creating even more such zones (in fact, the entire country) is a rational solution since it offers criminals/mentally unstable people an even greater freedom in selecting killing zones??? If you really think that, you are no longer merely ignorant, needing to be apprised of the facts, but (as a friend used to say) you are stupid – and stupid is forever!
Perhaps looking at the facts it would be better to not enrage millions of Americans who will oppose your efforts, but to alter your bill to apply only to Democrats/liberals/”progressives” since in all of the greatly publicized mass shootings recently, the shooters were Democrats/liberals/”progressives.” That would most likely reduce the carnage more than your proposed bill. Another alternative would be to insert a psychotropic drug screening program to try to prevent those users of these drugs (which comprised most of the publicized killings) from obtaining these weapons – but that undoubtedly will work no better than trying to prevent criminals from obtaining them, right???
Have you not stopped to note, for example, that in the Colorado “Batman” cinema shootings, the perp chose NOT the cinema closest to his home, NOT the one with the largest audience, but the one that advertised that it was, in fact, a gun free zone. Easy pickings, there, to someone of such a mind.
Probably the best, fastest, and most politically acceptable method of working against such mass murders is to have your bill instead allow legal and complete 50-state open carry of firearms (to minimize the on-site lifespan of mass murderers) rather than attempting – as your bill presently does – a completely disingenuous definition of any weapons having a “pistol grip” not limited to pistols (as it says in your bill) where:
“The term ‘pistol grip’ means a grip, a thumb hole stock, or any other characteristic that can function as a grip.”
Now THAT’S a real sockdolager, as Davy Crockett once said on the subject to one of my ancestors before Davy rode off from the Senate to the Alamo since Davy claimed that danged-near ANYTHING that shoots cartridges, bullets, minnie balls, etc. has some sort of contraption on it that can function as a grip. Seems like a real bit of hornswoggling there, Senator, that would allow you and your myrmidons to stand up in the Senate after your current version of the bill is passed and make that very case so that ALL weapons could be confiscated. Please rewrite your bill to be more honest, as it’s not nice to fool Mother Nature (OR the American citizenry).

As your constituent I believe you should consider my comments concerning your latest attempt to destroy the second amendment to the Constitution with the introduction of your recent “Assault Weapons Ban of 2013″ proposed Bill to the Senate. It now appears fashionable to those in Congress to state “I support the 2nd Amendment” but when it comes to action we are seeing something entirely different. Using your logic, wouldn’t it be appropriate to ban cars as they cause many more deaths, including children, than guns in America?
California’s citizens have paid your salary for many years and what do we get, a hypocrite. You apparently had fear for your own safety when you carried a concealed weapon while you tried this same action back in 1994. Don’t you think it would be better to eliminate the real causes of these horrific incidents that you and your myrmidons want to blame on guns? I recently saw on TV part of a movie where a very young girl with neon pink hair (a supposed SUPERHERO) just blasted away with a pistol (handgun)at point blank range. Is it possible this could give the impression to our children’s minds that at that age you can just shoot people? Great training for young minds still in development don’t you think? Hollywood is a big contributor to you and the Democrat Party. There is nothing in your latest attempt to skewer the second amendment that would eliminate the display of mayhem and violence they use guns to produce, or in the video games that many children have access to today. Don’t you think it is time you looked at Hollywood where most of them cannot distinguish fact from fiction since they’ve been acting for most of their adult life?
You probably have forgotten that you and the rest of your “friends” (an oft used description of the enemies across the aisle) in Congress work for us as neither you or “Madame” Boxer responded to my letter concerning the over $4 million dollars per year you have spent for your offices (the highest of any persons in Congress). Instead of listening to all of us and following your oath to uphold the Constitution you blindly go about trying to eliminate our freedom to protect ourselves from criminals and the ever increasing threat from an overbearing and out of control government. You and many like you created the “GUN FREE ZONES” where these perpetrators take so many lives. Have you asked yourself or anyone why these mentally deficient individuals do not go to a place where people have the ability/capability to defend themselves?
It is terrible when one person is murdered by another but I believe you and many who think like you are responsible for the mass killings as you have created legislation that allows criminals and the unhinged to do their worst where people have NO capability to defend themselves. As my son a former police officer has said, the police are only a reactionary force that can act only after the fact. Maybe you and others in the Congress will next want to create a “pre-crime bureau” as in one of Hollywood’s psychotic creations.
No matter how you look at it, as much as you try, you cannot create legislation for morality. Moral choices are personal choices based on a belief system that is taught or learned at a very early age. The more you and those in your position eliminate or hide morality from public discourse the greater these issues become. Thou shall not murder is a great commandment, one of ten incidentally, that liberals and progressives want to ban because of the misinterpretation of the “separation of church and state”. I have a sign (decal) that states “No Guns On Premise” that I have not found anyone willing to put in their window. Do you wonder why and yet you want to make us all have the equivalent so any criminal will feel free to bust in without challenge.

Is it possible that countries like Switzerland where all citizens are required to own and be trained in firearms, where the crime rate is low may have the answer? Maybe the facts get in the way of your thinking where you discount the high crime rate of places like D.C. and Chicago (murder capitols each) that have strict or no guns allowed laws. Your allies in the MSM choose to publicize the recent mass shootings without a word of those that didn’t occur because of a legally armed citizen who had the capability to stop the perpetrator. I would be in support of a Bill that would allow all law abiding citizens in all fifty States to openly carry firearms with the only requirement being proper training.

Let me focus on ANY OTHER CHARACTERISTIC THAT FUNCTIONS AS A GRIP. Every rifle, the stock is shaped to provide a grip. Are you just planning on your future restrictions that will allow you and others to ask for the confiscation of all weapons? That is what it looks like to me and I’m sure it does to others who take the time to read your Bill.

If there in fact has to be a gun control bill, the above suggestion of limit it to “Democrats/liberals/”progressives” is the only commonsense approach I have seen in this madness?!!?!?!? They have proven time and time again to be the problem, and are the only ones that seem to want to have their rights restricted?!!?!? That would protect them from themselves and the rest of us from them?!!?!?
Another two faced hypocrite parasite sucking from the taxpayers blood. How that so many useless cookie cutter bean counter entitlement personality types can be hired in DC is beyond comprehension. If we look at end results, most of the time their performance is non-existent and America is overburdened with these user types that are like a fly swarm on a manure pile of taxpayers money pots. Waste, excuses and no performance is the usual menu for the taxpayers that are falling farther behind each day. They have become a death sentence for America as was the old guard at the Kremlin that bankrupted Russia with dictatorial spending and waste to reach a condition of irreversible failure as can be seen in so many of America’s cities and small towns that never recovered after 1975 at the close of Vietnam operation. These useless self serving political criminals have destroyed the world’s greatest country for their own gain and sick enjoyment while the taxpayers pay for them even after retirement into their self bliss of “bull in a China closet” management and roughage. We have the greatest collection of political criminals next to the Kremlin in world history, all run quietly behind “closed” media doors.
