15-Year-Old Defends Home and Sister with Loaded Gun

THE SECOND AMENDMENT WAS INTENDED FOR SELF-DEFENSE, NOT DESTRUCTION

(Jan. 11, 2013) — A Texas teenager whose father is a constable and had taught him how to use a firearm in self-defense successfully repelled two home invaders who attempted to break on Tuesday in while he and his 12-year-old sister were home alone.

There had reportedly been other break-ins in the same neighborhood.

On December 1, 2012, an armed Knoxville, TN homeowner stopped three home invaders from finishing their would-be crime with a gun.

The suspect of a violent crime as well as burglary was stopped by an armed homeowner after attempting to burglarize his home.

On December 28, 2011, the holdup of a supermarket employee was brought to an end by another employee who was armed.

On February 29, 2012 in Ohio, a home invader who had taken a man’s family hostage shot the man when he arrived home, but the victim grabbed a gun and shot the criminal, causing him to flee the residence.  Also in Ohio on July 22, 2012, a paraplegic man shot dead a home invader who would have killed him.

Walmart has reportedly fired employees who arm themselves, even when their having a firearm was used to stop a crime within the store.  A representative from the retail mega-store, which sells firearms and ammunition, reportedly attended a meeting held by Joe Biden on Thursday, “reversing” its original intention not to attend.

In Wisconsin, an armed grandmother and owner of a convenience store caused a would-be robber wielding a knife to flee after he saw her weapon.

On January 10, 2013, a high school student entered the school, shot and seriously wounded another because he felt he was being bullied by him and others.  Two teachers reportedly “pacified” him, convincing him not to fire more shots.  The armed guard normally on duty that day had not been able to report for work because he was “snowed in.”

The National Rifle Association’s CEO, Wayne LaPierre, has been widely criticized for his suggestion that armed guards should be placed in all public schools following the murders of 20 children and six staffmembers at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT.  Some schools are considering implementing the measure, while others already have “school resource officers.”

The Newtown superintendent of schools has asked for armed guards on a “continuing” basis following the massacre.  The perpetrator was not a licensed gun owner.

In July 2007, two men with long criminal histories invaded a home in Cheshire, CT, wounded the husband and ultimately killed his wife and two daughters by dousing the house with gasoline and setting it on fire.  There was apparently no firearm in the home which could have been used against the invaders.

On January 6, a woman protected herself, two children and home from an invader who found her and the children hiding in a crawl space after breaking in.  The woman and her daughters were unharmed after she shot the perpetrator and fled to a neighbor’s house.

While by executive order, Obama has granted himself and his family lifetime armed Secret Service protection, he advocates gun control for the remainder of Americans.
