Let No Crisis Go To Waste — Disarm America!

(Dec. 18, 2012) — Auto accidents are a leading cause of death and injury in America.  Careless or impaired drivers cause most accidents and generally face consequences.   What should be the solution to these tragedies?  If you think like the socialist Left, it would be to ban automobiles (we would all drive battery-powered tricycles manufactured by ‘green energy’ losers subsidized by taxpayers).  Welcome to the irrational but purposeful solutions posed by the socialist Left whose ideology is political, not altruistic!  Their solutions to problems are usually nonsensical—such an outcry for a ban on ‘assault weapons’ in a shooting that did not involve an ‘assault weapon’, or for more gun control laws in response to a tragedy within a state with strict gun control laws.  The real solutions have to do with people, not the objects they use.  The Left avoids facts and statistics from the FBI and from abroad which clearly show a reduction in homicides and violent crimes in states which allow concealed carry of firearms, with a simultaneous increase in murders and violent crimes in Australia and the EU nations after the laws were enacted to keep guns out of the hands of law-abiding citizens.   Criminologist James Allen Fox of Boston’s Northeastern University, who has studied  mass shootings since those which occurred in U.S. post offices back in the 1980s,  states: “There is no pattern, there is no increase (in mass killings). The random mass shootings that get the most media attention are the rarest. Most people who die of bullet wounds knew the identity of their killer.”

The socialist Left media networks are part of the problem too since they thrive on sensational coverage of mass shootings 24/7—-but omit  coverage of the far greater number of criminal acts stopped or prevented by armed law-abiding citizens with SECOND AMENDMENT rights. Innocent ‘would-be corpses’ are still alive because they defended themselves instead of waiting for police to arrive while their attacker injured or killed them in cold blood.   Dialing 911 is a joke when it comes to response time to armed robberies and home invasions which are increasingly committed by criminals who have zero respect for human life except their own (and sometimes not even that).   Home invaders and armed robbers today often harm/kill  their victims ‘just for good measure’ instead of being content with their material gain through theft.  Our Second Amendment rights are inalienable except in a few places like Chicago where local government has imposed expensive obstacles making it difficult for law-abiding citizens to own a firearm for self-defense  (never mind the Mayor and Union bosses have their own armed security details—what hypocrisy!).  Facts don’t lie but the Left and their major networks employ their usual diversionary Alinsky tactics and false empathy for victims in order to further their ideological goals which would prevent citizens from defending themselves against armed criminals as well as against tyrannical government as provided for in our Constitution.

The focus should not be on banning all objects which can kill innocent people, but rather on individuals who either lack respect for human life, or those with personality disorders who are predisposed to a psychotic break.  People can kill regardless of the weapon available to them—and they will more likely succeed if there is no armed citizenry trained to defend themselves against such threats.  What might have been the outcome of that CT school,  at Virginia Tech, even at Columbine had there been teachers, security guards or even designated students trained in the use of firearms?  Instead of enabling self-defense,  the Left would disarm all American citizens so as to allow free rein by criminals who have access to firearms and other weapons.  Instead of tolerating an assault on our Constitutional rights, solutions should occur at the local level by addressing the social and cultural problems which socialists have inflicted on America since the 1960s as the result of their amoral, atheist, self-centered ideology which is the polar opposite to the principles upon which liberty was founded and defended for over two centuries, those being morality and virtue which in turn are based upon religious principles. These religious principles are under systematic assault by the Left through groups such as the ACLU, the Muslim Brotherhood and its many subgroups, the secular socialist media networks and the socialist/Marxist/communist elites who pull the strings of the Unions and other puppets they put in power to achieve their anti-American goals.  They love mass killings because each event gives them fodder to try and stack their deck against our Constitutional rights.

Finally, addressing the personal level, the Lefties have blood on their hands.  Their quest to destroy Christianity, our moral fiber and the American family structure leave many young people with no conscience and no way to effectively address difficult personal challenges.   In decades past, young people could rely upon loving family members, teachers with a religious foundation, and medical professionals to offer assistance.  Just as ‘friends don’t let friends drive drunk’,  friends were also there to help.  But today’s self-centered ‘feel-good’ culture nurtured by the Left has bred many kids who have no safety nets, some of whom will compensate and commit heinous crimes (usually suicide and less often murder) to deal with their personal problems.  Their peers are often too self-obsessed with their personal electronic devices, while tuning out their immediate surroundings and those who may be hurting.  Parents, teachers, pastors and professionals must put our youth back in touch with the virtues which matter most or watch as America self-destructs.
