“A RANK AND DANGEROUS AMATEUR”
by Joseph DeMaio, ©2012

(Oct. 27, 2012) — Let us cut right to the chase: no mincing of words, beating around the bush or sugar-coating. Aside from whether charges of treason will lie, the current president of the United States, along with the incompetent and generally venal apparatchik minions constituting his regime, are unfit to hold office. Period.
Over the past nearly four years, they have done all in their power to wreck the country; and yet they inveigle the public to grant them four more years to complete the task of completely destroying this once shining “city on the hill.” They give new meaning to the term “chutzpah.”
Since no one in the Congress has the courage to actually institute impeachment proceedings, and the nation now possesses a Supreme Court which seemingly values order in the streets over adherence to the Constitution, his removal from office now falls – as it should in a democratic republic such as ours – on the shoulders of the electorate.
Memo to the electorate: do NOT be bamboozled again; do NOT mess this one up; do NOT vote for (a minimum of) four more years of (1) rising “real” unemployment; (2) rising gasoline and energy prices; (3) rising numbers of food stamp recipients; (4) rising instances of voter fraud; (5) skyrocketing taxes well above and beyond the many new ones squirreled away in the law that had to be “voted on in order to find out what’s in it;” (6) multi-trillion-dollar annual deficits and increases in the debt; (7) plummeting take-home pay incomes; (8) nose-diving global military strength; (9) facilitation of the arming of our enemies and drug cartels in the template of “Fast and Furious;” (10) unparalleled political cronyism and payoffs to sycophants; (11) funny-money foreign donations to political campaigns; and (12) VIP visitor treatment of Islamist sympathizers at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. And those are just the outrages.
The foregoing list doesn’t even include blaming videos for acts of war and abandoning diplomatic personnel to assassination in order to deflect responsibility and shore up political objectives and politically correct policies. As to this item, the fact is that, whether one accepts the prevarication that the attack on U.S. diplomatic personnel in Benghazi – resulting in the deaths of four Americans, including the then-serving, but now very deceased U.S. Ambassador – spontaneously arose because of a video offensive to Muslims (and, apparently, everyone in the regime’s infrastructure), or whether one recognizes that the attack was pre-planned by terrorist forces allied with al Qaeda, the 800-pound gorilla-in-the-corner question remains: why was nothing done to help them?
The terrorist attack in Benghazi on September 11, 2012 was an act of war, and yet the regime continues to treat it as something akin to “collateral damage” on the road to appeasement of an increasingly radical, fanatical, Islamic Middle East bent on the destruction of the Great Satan. Memo to the mullahs: with the current resident at 1600 Pennsylvania still in charge, your task is being greatly facilitated.
Questions abound regarding the Benghazi attacks. The diplomatic and security force personnel’s prior pleas to the regime for more security were at first ignored, then formally rejected. Why?
There were U.S. military assets stationed but a few minutes’ flight-time north of Benghazi, but as our countrymen were being killed on the ground, they were seemingly told to “stand down.” Why?
There were unmanned drones monitoring the area, supplying “real-time” video to the State Department and, yes, the White House, and yet the Oval Office and Situation Room seemed to be more preoccupied with designing the “offensive video/spontaneous protest” excuse than taking action to help Americans under attack on the ground. Why?
Moreover, instead of acting “presidential” during the crisis, the amateur commandeered Air Force One to attend a campaign fundraiser even farther away from Benghazi than Washington, D.C. Adding irony to injury, Las Vegas lies in the opposite direction from Benghazi.
A commander-in chief who runs away from Americans being killed in Benghazi to attend a political fundraiser even before their caskets are returned home has forfeited any remaining sliver of a shred of character and respect he might once have claimed. He should be ashamed, but of course, he is not. Emperors rarely acknowledge human characteristics like that.
The real and sinister portent of four more years of this rank and dangerous amateur, however, will be acquiescence in and acceptance of the inversion of one of the bedrock principles of the Constitution: that this is a nation of laws and not men and that no one is above the law. Indeed, this regime has proven itself to be perhaps the most lawless and principle-inverting one since 1789.

And yet, the leader of the bandits continues to mesmerize, cajole and prevaricate his way into, at minimum, the brains (one hesitates to call them “minds”) of one-third of the voters. As long as “they got their Obamaphones,” they will vote for him. Mercifully, the percentage of likely voters supporting him continues to steadily drop and the percentage of likely voters supporting the rational adult in the room continues to steadily rise.
Now, if that trend continues until November 6 – and the regime’s cyber-thugs’ efforts to compromise the vote tally fail – the nation will finally be on a course correction which, with any kind of luck, will begin the healing process.
That healing process, of course, will come too late for Ambassador Christopher Stevens and the men trying to protect him, Glen Doherty, Sean Smith and Tyrone Woods…. but better late than never. They will not have died in vain.
Vote carefully on November 6.
