A Chance of Redemption

DO AMERICANS WANT TRUTH OR FICTION TO BE THEIR GUIDE?

(Jul. 7, 2012) — Redemption happens only in a story, and if you’re planning on starting over, better come up with something that’s really possible, or you’ll end up as Karl Marx did at the end of his life: cursing himself for turning his back on the teachings of Christ. But try explaining that to an Occupier, an Obot or someone who is about to vote for an incumbent:  Feinstein or Pelosi, for instance. The Obot will plunge ahead, hell or high water, and end up as the Donner Party: starving, death and cannibalism.

Looking back on it as a Monday morning quarterback, it’s easy to second-guess the outcome.  What if you could second-guess the outcome of Sunday’s game on Sunday morning; now wouldn’t that be something? Well, believe it or not, we can do exactly that; all it takes is believing in facts over fantasy.  It’s really that simple.

Take, for instance, Obama’s Birth Certificate, just one of the fake items in his sparse résumé. Two completely separate Birth Certificates were introduced as the real McCoy, and both of them were proven, beyond any doubt whatsoever, to be frauds. There are some, however, who claim otherwise, and to those people I will say that, yes, we’ve discovered that the earth is round and we even have photographs to prove our point. We have photographs, layer upon layer, to prove that Obama’s Birth Certificate is a fake, just as much as a fraud as Obama himself, just as much a fraud as the Administration, and just as much a fraud as the US government.

So the wagon train is about to embark up to the pass, and if Obama’s name is even on the ballot there will be strife, but nothing like what will happen if this charlatan bamboozles government employees for four more years.

Here’s a deck of cards, and the suits are “Right or Wrong,” “Might over Right,” “Color,” and “Right over Might.”  Many Americans don’t care about the real or even the philosophical concept of “Right,” but I’ll explain it. You’re in the Food Stamp line and someone cuts in front of you. About an hour later, as you’re driving home through the rain, there’s that person who cut in front of you. He can see you clearly, and as you drive by you wave, honk the horn and splash him, really drenching him, for good measure. That is the concept of “Right.”

Some say that “Color” trumps all others, as in anyone who criticizes Obama is racist. In the real world, the world just outside your door, “Right” always trumps anything else, including made-up rules, regulations, directives, laws, and orders.

We all would like to be on that train to Redemption but some of us won’t be on board. The train will have left and the truly lost, those without a conscience or country, will be holding the poster “Yes We Can” when clearly they can’t, never could, and never will. A song comes to mind: Ricky Nelson’s “Glory Train.”  What the heck; it works for me. Let’s do it to it, folks. Let’s speak and vote our consciences and don’t look back.
