AND AT THOSE WHO ARE IN DENIAL

(May 31, 2012) — [Note: the prompt of this editorial is the multiple mosques going up all over the world, and especially in the USA. I was in London, England, in the mid-’90’s and, while on a tour bus, the guide commented that all the churches that we see will someday be turned into mosques.]
There’s a disturbing trend going on around the world, and it’s spreading like wildfire. The blame lies in the West’s inability to recognize there’s a problem that has no solution. An example is if you discovered you had a termite infestation in your house and you ignored them, much to your peril. Let’s explore the termite analogy further.
To start, today’s termites are well aware that if they invade a house, the homeowner will do whatever is necessary to get rid of them. At first, the homeowner will attempt to get the termites to move out, and some of them will, no doubt, get the hint that they’re not welcome and do just that. Unfortunately, there will be a certain percentage of the termite population which will remain hardheaded enough to stay and do whatever it can to inhabit the structure, hopefully someday to bring it to total collapse. The owner, knowing the termites’ end game, embarks on a campaign to eradicate each and every termite in his house, which he does, and goes peacefully to sleep every night thereafter.
The West’s insane appetite for Mideast petroleum has allowed some Islamic countries to acquire vast amounts of capital in the form of hard currency, bonds and the deeds of some of the means of production in many, if not all, Western countries. The colonization of Muslims to every corner of the globe, the building of mosques, Islamic schools, and Islamovilles around America is all being paid for from the profits of oil. In other words, we, the users of the Black Gold from Saudi Arabia and other Islamic countries, are accessories in our own destruction.
For over a thousand years, Islam has been spreading out from the sands of the Middle East, and as the sands of time are, Islam is patient beyond the West’s comprehension. In his book, The Seven Pillars of Wisdom, Lawrence continuously remarks on the stoic patience of the Arab: if not now, then later. Snuck in, have they? It seems so, but since 9-11, Muslims have accelerated spreading everywhere, in every country, and in every state. The West’s inability to recognize the threat to their very foundation has only exacerbated the problem: Muslims sense a weakness of resolve and they demand more and more of our freedoms with a quid pro quo of their Sharia.
Ignoramuses in the West, in their inability to recognize the threat, continue to treat Islam as a religion instead of a totalitarian political philosophy, and as such, seal the doom of Western Civilization. Islam is indeed the enemy, just as much an enemy to the most die-hard socialist state as a capitalist one. The enemy of Islam is everyone who isn’t. It’s not a question of insulting Islam; it’s a question of recognizing a termite when you see one, and then taking the appropriate action.
[Just your “average Muslim’s” handiwork. They call it honor: I call it cowardly, despicable and shameful. That’s what I see in my crystal ball, unless we recognize the threat of Islam, and take the necessary remedy.]
