LAWMAKERS AND LAW-BREAKERS

by Sharon Rondeau

Rep. John Mica served in the Florida House of Representatives before being elected to Congress in 1992

(Apr. 25, 2012) — Rep. John Mica of Florida’s Seventh District has said “There is much more to come” in regard to criminal prosecutions stemming from the lavish GSA convention held in October 2010 now being scrutinized by his Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.  Mica has said that “billions” of dollars have been wasted by employees of the GSA on trips to Hawaii, “Hats Off” contests, cash bonuses and a wasteful conference on which Inspector General Brian D. Miller reported on April 2, 2012.

In his report, Inspector General suggested that “federal procurement laws” were broken by GSA employees who planned the conference, spending over $800,000 on “travel, catering, vendors,” and trips made to select the location.  Many expenses were labeled “impermissible.”

The General Services Administration (GSA) states that its mission is to “use expertise to provide innovative solutions for our customers in support of their missions, and by so doing, foster an effective, sustainable, and transparent government for the American people” and gives the assurance that GSA “values” include:

  • Integrity
  • Accountability and transparency in operations
  • Effective leadership
  • Responsible decision-making

It also states that the GSA:

Is fueled by two powerful sparks for change, namely sustainability and transparency. The former is a doctrine for managing resources with utmost care and an obsession with “no waste.” The latter is a doctrine for inviting our collective intelligence and wisdom to our work.

The new acting administrator, Dan Tangherini, has made a video admits that the agency’s employees violated policies by their lavish spending of “public funds.”  He states that he wishes to “restore trust” with the American taxpayer.  The “Hats Off” program, which Mica stated had been “previously undisclosed,” has reportedly been discontinued.  “We have a strong record of delivering value and promoting efficiency, he said.

Congressman Mica has asked Tangherini to discipline the  supervisor of the Public Buildings Service Commissioner, Jeffrey Neely, by removing from his position or suspending him without pay.  Neely chose not to respond to questions before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, invoking his “constitutional privileges” when queried by Rep. Darrell Issa.

Mr. Neely’s Fifth Amendment “constitutional rights” were honored.

Issa continues to investigate Eric Holder’s Department of Justice for its role and knowledge of the Fast & Furious gunwalking program which killed at least two Americans and hundreds of Mexicans after guns were transferred to known Mexican criminals through “straw purchasers” in the U.S.  One writer has called the operation “Barack Obama’s bloodiest scandal.”

Links to articles from “The New American” titled “AG Holder Could be Jailed for Ongoing Fast & Furious Cover-Up” and detailing how one of Holder’s employees took the Fifth Amendment regarding the Fast & Furious operation do not load as of publication time at 3:31 p.m.

Barack Obama and his wife have spent millions on personal vacations and trips since “occupying” the White House beginning in January 2009, and a reported $1.7 million to continue to withhold documentation of his birthplace and other personal details from the public.  He continues to spend money on attorneys to respond to state ballot challenges from citizens who do not believe he is constitutionally qualified to serve as president or run again for the position.

  1. Amen to the above. This was all planned out by these usurpers before he was installed in DC. The information is slowly starting to spread out and the truth is becoming known. They knew they could rely on America’s red tape to delay any action toward them. Law suits were flying when Slick Willie got out but they will all probably get a slap on the hand. One call in on Rush today said America is “sleep walking” and who knows for how long. We have billions in theft of taxpayers money, multiple Military Officers careers destroyed, a total division of political parties and a blacked out press/media making millions on tit-a-tat that won’t report on the truth but continue to dance around it to keep it all spinning, elderly and young being displaced as they lose their homes, jobs and life, Muslims sparring behind the scenes to dig in for the future battle to take over America and all is well if you listen to certain “news” agency’s reports. The greed of the moment, will be the loss of the future. With a divided society how do you get people together? Do we need violence and death in the streets just to get people to “look” at what is wrong? Sure seems that way. There are only so many partriots from what I see and a lot more of the “takers” that never give but are a giant “taking” machine that will stop at nothing. Keep your guns loaded!

  2. I spend a couple of hours a day commenting on well known Conservative web pages. I will not give up the good fight. Some of these web pages have direct email to those who write the columns and articles and I encourage them all to make an effort to go to Phoenix, AZ and have a day long sit down with the lead investigator of Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s investigative team Mike Zullo. I don’t ask I beg them to do and then report back to us. I have picked out 10 what I call targets and make it a point to not only email them personally but I respond to any column or article they write and I don’t waver from the topic of eligibility and criminal activity.

  3. The ongoing “investigations” provide a platform from which the weasels can grandstand.
No charges will be made or investigations concluded so the grandstand can remain in place.
