EXPLORING NATURAL LAW AND SCIENTIFIC THEORY
by Daniel Roach
(Sep. 20, 2011) — When you get right down to it, Creationism is the only Theory of Origins extant that is scientifically viable. The idea that science and faith are incompatible is not true. It REALLY takes faith to lend any credibility to, say, the “Big Bang Theory” even though the BBT seems to be the most acceptable theory among secular “thinkers,” and that in spite of the fact that it runs counter to the three most basic and fundamental laws of physics.
First, the number one most basic and immutable Law of Thermodynamics says, “Neither matter nor energy can be spontaneously created or destroyed (though they can change from one state to the other).” The BBT claims that in the beginning there was nothing: No matter, no energy, no space, no time, no gravity, no anything. And then, in spite of the fact that there was nothing, everything that can be conceived of (and a whole lot that can’t) exploded into existence (including the space and time into which it exploded!). The first, second, and third Laws of Thermodynamics are “Immutable,” that is, they are inviolate, they cannot be abrogated nor suspended.
The second most basic and immutable Law of Thermodynamics says, “Every system, if unaffected by an outside force, WILL degenerate from the ordered to the random, from the complex to the simple.” This law is also expressed in “The Law of Decreasing Entropy.” At the risk of over simplifying, entropy is basically an “orderliness factor.” As matter and energy interact with themselves or with each other their ability to do so again and again is less predictable, less efficient, and less ….. measurable(?). The BBT starts out with nothing, not even time, but spontaneously brings the universe into existence (violating the First Law of Thermodynamics) in a violent, chaotic event with no governing principle, and which has, over supposed billions of years, coalesced into “time order,” systematic order (galaxies, solar systems), and, at this point in time, produced intelligent life through random evolution. According to the Second Immutable Law of Thermodynamics that is impossible. Consider also, during the Stokes-Monkey Trials it was concluded that the mathematical probability of evolution having occurred on earth was 1 to 10 X 1027. That is, one chance in ten (followed by 27 zeros!), or 1 chance in 10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000. Since that time knowledge of biology has advanced quite a bit. The absolute necessity for the presence of DNA for life to exist is better understood. The mathematical probability of a minimum number of elements or molecules necessary for the spontaneous production of DNA being in close enough proximity to each other for some unknown natural force or event to cause them to “crystallize” into even a single DNA molecule (not to mention that three ‘strings’ are necessary) is 1 to 10 X 1052 (1 chance in 10 followed by 52 zeros), thus making it a practical and mathematical impossibility. Even though DNA is considered to be the “building blocks” of life, in itself it is not alive, and thus could not have “evolved” from simpler compounds. It had to have been produced spontaneously according to the mathematics of probability, which has been demonstrated to be an impossibility. Therefore, according to the second most basic “Immutable” Law of Thermodynamics, it is impossible for either Big Bang or Evolution to have occurred.
The theory of evolution refutes itself. In his “Origen of Species” Charles Darwin draws the following conclusion. “If my theory be true, numberless intermediate varieties, linking most closely all of the species of the same group together must assuredly have existed… Consequently evidence of their former existence could be found only amongst fossil remains.” (Emphasis mine). Though evolutionists have been desperately searching for more than a century, not a single “intermediate variety” has yet been discovered, not even a single example. Darwin confessed this complete lack of corroborating evidence even as he wrote “Origen of Species,” lamenting in the chapter titled “Difficulties of the Theory”, “…Why, if species have descended from other species by fine gradations, do we not everywhere see innumerable transitional forms? Why is not all nature in confusion, instead of the species being, as we see them, well defined?… But, as by this theory innumerable transitional forms must have existed, why do we not find them embedded in countless numbers in the crust of the earth?… But in the intermediate region, having intermediate conditions of life, why do we not now find closely-linking intermediate varieties? This difficulty for a long time quite confounded me.” One should take special note that Darwin specified that the truth or failure of his theory hung upon the existence of these “intermediate varieties” being abundant in the fossil record, when to date, not a single example has been found. Proponents of evolution would have all believe that the fossil record plainly supports their theory, when, in fact, the fossil record overwhelmingly denies it.
Another basic, immutable, natural law is the Law of Cause and Effect. This law states that for every cause there must be an effect and for every effect there had to have been a cause. Since prior to Big Bang there existed neither energy, space, matter, nor even time, it is impossible that Big Bang was an effect since without energy, space, time, or matter a cause could not have existed. But if Big Bang is a cause, what and where is the effect? The visible universe cannot be the effect since its existence and continuing expansion is the material part of the cause which is still unfolding. Big Bang denies the natural law of cause and effect.
There are many other blatant violations of natural law, not to mention, common sense, abundant in the secular theories held to by secular men professing these unsupportable conjectures. It takes far less blind faith to accept the Creation Account which agrees far better with natural law than the hodge-podge of umms and uhhs that went into secular fantasies like the Big Bang Hypothesis and the Theory of Evolution.
In Creationism there exists an omnipotent Creator who not only created the universe but also designed and ordered the laws by which it operates. For the Creator to create both matter and energy is no violation of natural law because as He created matter and energy He concurrently created natural laws to govern them. The Creator is the “Ultimate Cause” to which the creation is the ultimate effect.
Bible prophecy teaches us that the entire creation is destined for degradation and ultimate destruction. Even the epitome of the creation, man, is in a downward spiral. Earth began as a paradise with man living free, pure and innocent. Today man has filled his mind with blood and violence. Sexual deviation, corruption, murders, thefts and deceit are his daily passion. In a mad race for wealth and pelf we have fouled even our own planet. Man, intelligence, the supposed highest point of development, the very best evolution has to offer, is everywhere in undeniable degeneration and decay. Creationism obeys the second law of thermodynamics as well as the law of entropy.
From creation to the present there has been a series of cause and effect. God created man, man glorified God. Man sinned, God provided a covering for his sin. Mankind is effacing every vestige of the beauty this planet once enjoyed. As an effect God will cause that “the elements will melt with a fervent heat” causing the complete destruction of this creation in order for Him to bring about a new one.
True science supports creationism.
