NOTHING BUT SMOKE AND MIRRORS

August 4, 2011

Sen. John Boozman was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2010, defeating incumbent Blanche Lincoln

Dear Editor:

This morning the following letter was sent to Senator John Boozman, Senator Mark Pryor, and Rep. Steve Womack:

Senator Boozman,

One day after America’s elected officials voted to plunge their dying Nation into another 8 trillion, give or take a few hundred billion, dollars of debt over the next ten years; borrowing has now exceeded 100% of the GDP. Is this something you are proud to have happen on your watch??

The absurdity of saying you are “cutting” a trillion dollars or more when the reality is the national debt is set to increase, over the next 10 years, by an estimated 9 trillion to about 25 trillion, is breathtaking.  I’m sure Congress is pleased that the average voter either doesn’t care what is happening or is still deceived by the “smoke and mirrors” that Congress and the regime is furiously spinning. You kicked the can down the road by allowing the printing of even more money to sustain an unsustainable level of spending by an out-of-control federal government. America in now printing money out of thin air, to borrow from herself, with no real intention of ever paying it back. I’m not positive, but I am pretty sure other nations that have tried this have ended badly.

You also gave the usurper in the White House billions to hand out more “government cheese” to the 50% of Americans who are dependent on government, and to lock in their votes for at least 4 more years to finish the “fundamental transformation” of America from a free and prosperous nation into another third-world Marxist dump.

I never, in the worst nightmare of my 68 years of life, thought I would see America brought to her knees from the inside out with Congress as willing accomplices. Congress has been neutered by the illegal regime and the best Congress can do is to perform a little Kabuki Theater to make the masses believe a, “difficult decision”, was upcoming when the outcome was preordained……..more of the same spending into oblivion mentality that has brought us to the brink.

The Obama regime apparently has total immunity from adhering to the Constitution or the rule of law, Congress has been reduced to a minor technicality by the Executive branch of government, and now we have a new, unconstitutional , “Super Congress”,  which has been formed to move decisions of government ever further from We the People.

At this point it cannot be just fear of being called, “racist”, that has turned Congress into lap puppies for the regime, therefore, the only possibilities remaining are Congress fears open discussion of their part in electing a known ineligible president, Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals have worked perfectly, or actual fear for their personal safety if they oppose the regime in any meaningful way….or all of the above.

I suppose if you have a nice government “position” with great perks and a cushy taxpayer provided retirement awaiting you it’s still easy to look at your world through rose colored glasses.

You have disappointed me, to put it mildly, and while I don’t believe voting really matters anymore, my vote will not be yours, nor will my work which I always provide around election time. I would rather vote for an obscure candidate who has no chance of winning than to vote for a continuation of the one party system that is destroying America.
