MARCH 13, 2011: NATIONAL CALL TO ACTION

(Feb. 25, 2011) — Recently, I had the pleasure of speaking with and interviewing Lynn Vogel–the owner of the website 20Turns.com. Lynn has a unique outlook on protests and–for those who work for a living and can’t make it to out-of-town rallies–has a recommendation for protests against the tyranny in Washington, D.C. in which almost all can participate.
To offer a bit of perspective on Lynn’s background, he writes: “A child of the 60’s, I watched from my father’s lap as the riots and protests of the times mingled with Walter Cronkite’s war reports. I grew up aware that our great nation and the preservation of our Constitutional Republic would become the duty and obligation of those of us who understood the hard work and sacrifice of others who provided this for us. My father made it very clear that efforts were under way to undermine all that made the United States great, and he instilled in me the sense of duty to resist such changes.
“The future was technology so my advanced education began with a degree in Electronic Technology followed by years of Economics, Business Administration and Industrial Management. I am an avid amateur historian because to understand the problems of government and societies we must know the mistakes and successes of our past.”
The Interview
Sher: Lynn, thanks so much for your time today. I’m intrigued by the idea you have for a National call to action via a National Day of Protest that your Group “20turns.com” has planned for 13 March 2011. Rather than telling patriots that they need to march on Washington D.C., your idea allows anyone to protest almost wherever they are. Please tell us how the planned protest developed and how all of us can join in to tell elected federal officials in Washington D.C.–especially the Marxist-Leninist Democrats–that we’ve reached our breaking point in our national bondage, as they’re still not listening to us.
Lynn: This project began with an idea from General Vallely and his group at SUA. (www,standupamericaus.com) The General wanted to launch a National Call to Action campaign designed to combine and focus energies. We were asked to help develop some ideas for the Call to Action and that was the beginning. I wanted something different, something more than an afternoon of being ignored by the major media while standing around holding signs. I believed most patriots are ready to stand and be counted but few have the time or finances for a trip to DC. We have seen over 1 million at the National Mall only to have them brushed off as a few crazy astro-turfers. Coverage of such events is always light and the returns on the effort are minimal.
I wanted a method that any concerned patriot could employ close to home with minimal investment but would be impossible to ignore. I wanted something that could be covered so broadly by local media outlets the national news groups could not kill the story. I pondered this for awhile and suddenly woke up at 3 a.m. with the idea complete in my mind. I wrote down details, shared with SUA the next morning and one day later, we were promoting it. It just happened.
Sher: Would you give us a bit of background on how 20 Turns developed?
Lynn: Like many groups today, The 20 Turns Project grew out of frustration with the obvious source of our nation’s ills. Using the elections of 2010 & 2012 to TURN this nation back to control by We the People. It is my sincere belief that most of our troubles can be traced directly back to the career congressmen who are firmly entrenched in DC serving themselves first, their spider webs of donors and lobbyists second and their constituents when they believe it will help in the next election. We identified 8 criteria for voters to use to vet candidates during the primary process and we asked them to confront candidates with these points to see the heart of the person and their true intent in seeking office. Packaged as the “8 Point Pledge of 20 Turns.” This is that pledge for voters:
The 8 Point Pledge of 20 Turns
1. I Pledge to vote against any politician that fails to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.
2. I Pledge to end the Congressional Crisis by voting in 2010 and 2012 to remove every career politician in Congress.
3. I Pledge my vote only to candidates that will promise no new spending programs until failed programs are repaired or eliminated.
4. I Pledge to only support candidates that have experience in a successful private business, not career politicians.
5. I Pledge my vote only to candidates that promise, practice and support permanent Term Limits for Congress and ending Congressional pension programs and retirement benefits.
6. I Pledge my vote only to candidates that will work to end the influence of professional paid lobbyists and their campaign dollars.
7. I Pledge my vote only to those that will stop the voter fraud and manipulation which is corrupting our election process.
8. I Pledge to abandon any political party whose candidates serve themselves and the party instead of We, the People.
Thousands of copies of this Pledge were downloaded and distributed at Tea Party and Town Hall events. Many people used them as they spoke with candidates and they demanded to know if the candidate would back that pledge. We are proud to say this resulted in exposing questions about the motives of some real bad apples who did drop out of the races. We posted a state by state list at our site showing all who would or would not agree. It got more hits than we had even hoped for. We also had a companion booklet available for free downloads illustrating the problems inherent with career Congressman. That booklet, 20 turns, is still available, free of charge, at our site.
Sher: You’re partnered with Gen. Paul E. Vallely’s (Ret) group Stand Up America. How did that come about and how has it been beneficial to both of your organizations?
Lynn: Somehow, the news of our 8 Point Pledge campaign and our state list of candidates responses was discovered by the General’s staff. Scott Winchell is the national director and Managing Editor for SUA and he contacted me about using some of our work in their site. We have gradually developed and solid working partnership with them. We are in absolute agreement about the nature of our ills and the path to restoring our nation so we have been very happy working together toward our common goals. Both of our groups have a reliable network of very sharp patriots with various skills and areas of expertise. By working together we share info with each others’ memberships and we are able to join efforts for developing projects like the Call to Action and particularly the 3/13 Nationwide Patriot Protest. We are all stronger and smarter by uniting and combining our talents and numbers.
Sher: When we talked, you said that there are five more projects that you have planned throughout the rest of this year. Would you give us an idea as to what they are?
Lynn: I’d rather not give too much detail yet because our opposition has already moved to counter the 3/13 event and I do not wish to tip our hand to them. However, I can say that all future projects will share the same strategy of easy participation coast to coast and in your neighborhood with little effort. The most complicated event will involve horses and family-fun but all will be interesting and will provide a forum for patriots to demonstrate their grievances in a peaceful way.
Sher: One of the most intriguing pages on your site is Project Clean Sweep. In fact, it’s both revolutionary and brilliant. Can you give us a synopsis?
Lynn: It is interesting to me that people often call it revolutionary. I prefer to think of it as a definite action to halt the revolution we are all now witnessing. The problems of corruption, anti- Constitution and self serving government go much deeper than just the few officials we are able to vote for every few years. Those that seek to destroy our Republic have been infiltrating our system–top to bottom–for decades. They are in many levels of our bureaucracies and even our courts. Some we cannot vote out because we’d have to vote for a worse choice from another party. Others never come up for election. I refuse to believe we are simply ‘stuck’ with a government full of brigands that openly violate our Constitution and often, their sworn oaths of office.
I believe our Founding Fathers made it clear to us that it is our duty as free citizens to watch for this type of bad behavior and take
whatever steps necessary to correct the situation as circumstances demand. This is clear in the words of our Declaration of Independence, the Federalist Papers and the individual writings of these great Patriots. They did not warn us to be vigilant so we could be spectators of our own destruction. We were warned to be watchful and demand that our government be limited to the Constitutional powers our Founders knew government officials would try to exceed. It is time to identify the culprits, remove them and replace them through a series of peaceful, organized special elections. Waiting decades to accomplish this through a traditional series of corrupt elections they control simply will not work. I do not believe a true patriot can read Clean Sweep and reach any other logical conclusion.
Sher: Thanks so much, Lynn, and remind us once again what we can do to assist in gaining OUR country back on 3/13/11.
Lynn: 3/13 can truly become a turning point for the restoration of our Constitutional Republic. But, only if patriots determine to act for their own benefit. 3/13 provides a platform for each and every concerned patriot to make their demands known and to show the true combined strength of our numbers. We are counting on patriots in Utah and California to take to the roads at the same time as the patriots in New Jersey and Maryland to show that we are a truly united group that will NOT accept the end of our Constitution and our traditions of rights and freedoms. We have the numbers to easily make 3/13 the largest national patriot protest in the history of this nation. A national protest of this size cannot be ignored by the media or the powers in Washington D.C. We need friends to talk to friends and all to contact their local media and their party headquarters. Spread the word, it costs nothing to do. Get your protest signs ready and decide where you will meet your fellow patriots and on 3/13, meet there and take your protests to the roads which all of us have paid for. Complete information is available at the website but there is no one who cannot find a way to help if they are serious about saving this nation for the future of our children. It is our time, our duty. This nation must NOT be lost on our watch.

We have to have a way to form local Citizen Grand Juries. The 5th Ammendment gives us the right to Citizen Grand Juries. The purpose was that we are the 4th part of the government and we are totally independent of the other 3 parts. They have no right to stop us. But we need help on this getting organized. The courts do not want us to do this. But the courts admit we have the Constitutional right to do it.
There have been some Grand Juries but the governement wants to ignore it all.

Why citizen grand juries haven’t worked up until now:
In short, sloppy legal work and overeager but clumsy and misinformed patriots.
There is a very important issue that isn’t being discussed. The obvious problem with AGJ is even if a presentment were accepted by a jurisdiction the first question a judge or prosecutor would ask would be; “How was this Grand Jury formed?” If the question were answered accurately one would need to reveal that a group of citizens with the desire to indict AKA Obama got together and indicted him. So the next question the judge would ask is, “So there was not a random selection of Grand Jury members to insure basic fairness and people found out that the purpose of the Grand Jury was to indict AKA Obama and that is why they volunteered to serve? Is that is how jury members were selected?”
And we would be forced to say, “Yes Your Honor, that is how it was done.” And the judge would rightfully say, “I can’t order a trial on the recommendation of a Grand Jury convened in that manner.” And the jeering would begin.
The citizen’s Grand Juries are impotent if they do not do jury member selection from a random source whose members do not know who it is they are being asked to investigate and indict.
after checking out 20 turns facebook this appears to me to be very similar to the massive protest in washington about 18 months ago when not one word was mentioned in any speech about obama eligibility and the birth certificate. there was just ranting and raving about obama policies and spending and it turned out to be a totally wasted event . obama just sat there and laughed at every body and totally ignored them. so since this has the signs of being just more of that thanks but no thanks. i will continue to push the ineligibility and no birth certificate issue of soetoro/ obama any and every way i can and with all that i can.

there has to be a demand that gets enforced along with the protests. that is all the protesters surround the congress the supreme court the white house and the joint chiefs of staff to demand that obama either resigns from office or is removed by any means necessary . this is the only way that any protest will be successful. all of us need to prepare to be there indefinitely for this to to have any chance of working. just a couple of days with no follow up action will not work. also just to protest policy will be another waste of time and effort as that has been unsuccessfully by the tea parties for two years. it should have been obvious long ago that trying to fight obama policies protesting about them and complaining does not get it and will not again.
You are so right Johnny: To do this for just a few hours would be fruitless. We would be laughted at again. We must plan on staying for as long as it takes for them to know we are serious.
In response to Obama Researcher, while we do have the fifth amendment right to form Citizen Grand Juries, who in your local neighborhood actually knows the ropes well enough to guide others through setting up one and seeing it through to the conclusion? I do not personally know how but I’m ready and willing to learn. The task seems beyond the scope of a single person’s abilities to learn — unless one is very, very driven to find out and has sufficient time for the job. Those individuals are out there but even then, there are not enough of them to go around every place we need them.
It seems that with some help from the few who have actually engaged in this sort of endeavor, more of us could learn the ropes and gradually come together as a cohesive group who might actually succeed while striking terror in the hearts of judges, DA’s and other officials just by our tenacity and ability to publicly shame them into acting.
I am not aware how far into this task American Grand Jury was able to reach. I know that Bob Campbell worked his butt off at it. I have read Lynn Vogel’s 8-points and 20 Turns, both of which are inspiring but left me sort of hanging. I am not willing to grab a rifle and start shooting up my town; but I desperately want to do something that is within the law and that is EFFECTIVE. I believe we need to have the knowledgeable ones among us break down the steps to successfully forming a Citizen’s Grand Jury and operating it. And the same with investigating city councils, sheriff departments, the legislatures, various other departments of city, county, and state governments. Break down the tasks so people will know what needs to be done and get volunteers to carry them out. When the procedures are presented in plain, easy to understand steps, individuals in every city, county, and state can, along with others, then volunteer themselves to take on specific tasks in their locale. Also, I have no wish to re-invent the wheel; if other individuals or groups have already done some of this, please make the rest of us aware.
This is similar to the resident’s association that we formed where I reside. Our park owner — aka Hitler — deferred maintenance to the point he needed to be sued. As a group, we delineated the various tasks that would need to be under taken: check his police record, find out how many other times he’d been sued — and the result(s), check that utility billing was being done correctly, check city and county public records to ensure all of his required filings had been done (they had not), retain competent legal representation, and so on. A couple gals volunteered to go to City Hall, I volunteered to go to the Court House to check his police record and see if he’d been previously sued (he had – over thirty times) and the outcomes, several others scouted around for a law firm to take our case. BTW, he settled. We won.
I think you get my drift. Set out a list of all the tasks that need to be taken to ensure a successful result, break them down, and then ask for people who will choose a task and work to see it through. Until a ‘steering committee’ comes together and sets out what we, as individual citizens, can do, we will continue to spin our wheels and grow more frustrated.

Rev. Manning did it in Harlem. It is not that complicated. You find a regular place to meet. You find the jurors and alternates by getting word out. They sign a simple agreement form, etc. Actually, I belive Sharon from this site knows or knows where to get the instructions.
Local citizen 5th amendment grand juries are not honored.
Search your city/county for traffic pattern maps, locate high-traffic intersections or freeway overpass to hold a rally.
Have flyers, leaflets,business cards, to give away.
Have a recruiting information.
Be sure to put “dot” org URL on bottom of signs.

i do not see or hear anything in this protest about the most serious matter and that is removing obama and bringing him to trial for treason fraud sedition and many other charges including possibly foregery.

Okay, sounds great, let’s all get involved and make it work, folks.
Well, wait a minute. Let’s take a sec for a reality check. So these nice Americans, from all accounts, really nice folks, kind and caring, not in anyone’s way, well, I guess they were in someone’s way, I mean, they managed to be taken captive on the high seas. And then comes the power and might of the United States Navy. And then what happens? What say we dialog, man, sit back and groove. Nope, didn’t work, captives were killed the next day. Remaining “pirates” (what’s wrong, people, can’t anyone say “muslim”?) put their hands in the air “Na na na na naaa na, have to read us our rights, give us free dental care” and we don’t mow them down. Does anybody see what’s wrong with that whole picture, or am I the only one that gets it? Come on, people, I need some help here.

Really easy because Americans are really dumb, sometimes, and this just happens to be one of the times when Americans are so dumb they’re walking to the gas chambers laughing and having a really good time. It’s not only people from south of the border crossing illegally, it’s thousands of muslims crossing over, and when I say “crossing over” I mean landing at every airport in this country. “Okay, we’ll be at the immigration hearing next Thursday, trust me”.

Since when, and that’s a major problem with Americans. “I’ve alway voted Democrat”. Good for you, only trouble is there is no Democratic Party anymore, hasn’t been for a long time. There is a mind set that has infiltrated into the fabric of American life, and it’s killing us. We have example after example, we have the Navy counting sea gulls instead of taking names, as killing was once refered to, we have F.B.I. and Secret Service agents following illegal orders from, what piece of trash? Obama? Holder? Homeland Security?
Look, your taking back this country will only happen through a barrel of a rifle. How many cops are going to be on your side, huh? Four? Six?
Me, sure, I’ll join in on the protest, but I’ll be armed, brother, will I ever be armed.

Thanks. I was beginning to wonder. Now about this talk of Grand Juries. Hello? Anybody home? or am I missing something? Seems to me that LTC Terry Lakin was sent to prison for asking to see the birth certificate of the Long Legged Mack Daddy, a.k.a. the president who resides in Public Housing Unit Number One. He was tried and convicted and the Joint Chiefs of Staff condoned the proceedings.
There are people out there who blow a lot of hot air, “Let’s form a Grand Jury, then they will HAVE to listen to us!” and “Let’s make BIG signs!”, as if there’s anyone out there that can 1) can read. 2) can read English, 3) have seen the C.O.L.B. and will swear that Obama was born in Hawaii, 4) the “Democrats are in the White House, we won, you lost, so quite crying sour grapes and accept the fact that Obama is your President and let’s go on to more important issues”, and 5) Constitution? Outdated and, therefore, not relevant to the world of today. A New World Order is good, and, even though we know we, as humans, lost our ability to reason, we believe in “HOPE” and “CHANGE” and, please, from now on, don’t bother us with facts, we make decisions based on our gut feelings.
My gut feeling is that Oswald didn’t kill Kennedy, that we are fighting a stacked deck.
So don’t waste everyone’s time talking about Grand Juries, and Courts, and The Law. It’s all meaningless, understand? The country is going away and our armed forces, our law enforcement, our news media, is all going to go along with America’s TOTAL DESTRUCTION. They have already. So then, again, maybe I missed the revolt in the Army when Lakin was sentenced, I mean, when a person is denied the right to defend himself . . . So why be in the military, you sure as hell ain’t fighting for the United States Constitution, and that oath you took? About defending said Constitution?
Bologna. The Grand Juries? Bologna. The Courts? Bologna. The United States Constitution? Well, it’s not there to vet POTUS and it sure wasn’t there to protect LTC Lakin, now was it? It’s all bologna. I’m almost there, folks, and I sure as hell know I’m not the only one.
Veteran both “count me in too”; what once could have been a very peaceful revolution is rapidly creating the necessity for a violent, armed revolution. One thing that is very clear to me also is “that the average American Citizen is too damn-dumb, or lazy-complacent to even recognize when they are in mortal danger” and that is what is soon coming to a friendly little community near you…”MORTAL DANGER” thanks to your muslim obama and his ilk. We will see what happens on March 13th and 19th or both, in DC. We must learn from others, that to be successful we must all stay there for as long as it takes, and daily increase the crowd size, in order to remove the threat; NOTHING IS MORE IMPORTANT at this time Folks. This is our last shot at un-armed success, don’t squander this opportunity like all the other opportunities you’ve squandered, because it gets real ugly from here on in Folks, when you don’t stand up for something. “LETS ROLL”.
