IF THE CITIZENS WANT LIBERTY, THEY COULD SIEZE LIBERTY

by John Charlton

In recent decades, the world has seen how popular movements of opposition, protesting the confiscation of rights and liberties took the one decisive step that alone ensured the survival of their constitutional republics:  popular revolution.

There was the rather bloodless People’s Power Revolution in the Philipines, against the dictator Ferdinand Marcos in 1986. There were the massive strikes and protests which brought down the Stalinist dictatorship in Poland, orchestrated by the Solidarity Trade Union.  And more recently there were the Orange Revolution in the Ukraine, (Nov. 2004-Jan. 2005), which moved their Supreme Court to redress the massive Election Fraud in the national elections, and the united action of the courageous and heroic peoples of Honduras this year, which prevented an unconstitutional referendum, which would have continued Zelaya’s position as president, from happening.  In response both the Supreme Court, the national Congress, the people and the Military upheld their Constitution by decisive action and ousted the dictator-wanna-bee from power.

In the United States of America, there is nothing to prevent such a peaceful restoration of liberty and constitutional order.  If a mere million citizens marched on Washington, D.C., and took control of the Capitol, the Whitehouse, the Pentagon, and the Supreme Court, elected and appointed officials might then feel secure enough to do their constitutional duties to oust Obama and his cronies from power.

Such a revolution would have to be militant, but does not have to be violent.

And here is the distinction between the two.

In the first, Citizens do not simply carry signs or banners, they enter buildings and don’t take no for an answer: they remain in those buildings till the Supreme Court hears the People’s presentiments against Obama, and tries him:  the evidence of his not being a natural born citizen is sufficient for a guilty verdict.  The Supreme Court then declares him a usurper, and the people occupying the rest of the seat of the Federal Government, using their citizens’ arrest powers to nab all the important cronies.  Obama can flee to where he wants, even leave the country.  Citizens in other parts of the country, arrest those cronies of Obama in their section of the country (most of the MSM included).

Since there is no precedent against this, no one will challenge the action of the Supreme Court in finding Obama guilty, and in ordering his arrest, in nullifying the 2008 presidential/vice-presidential elections, and in ordering a new election.

Nor is such action unconstitutional, since there is nothing in the Constitution preventing the Supreme Court from restoring the constitutional order.  And thus, there would also be no basis for a legal challenge to it.

Nor could such a revolution fail, since its non-violent nature would be supported by the vast majority of citizens:  the military would not intervene.

About the only violence necessary for such a revolution would be breaking down a few doors, and physically restraining and laying hands on a number of guilty politicians.  1 Million Citizens could easily do this, and the Country is certainly ripe for it.  Even the State governments would be relieved that their sovereignty is no longer at risk.

If we wait for the 2010 elections we might not see a fair election anywhere.

But it’s a question whether Amercians love their liberty enough to take decisive non-violent means to keep their liberty; or whether Obama and his minions hate our liberty enough to prevail over our indolence.

The choice, however, remains ours.

  2. But you can’t get numbers in the middle of the work week. What’s your suggestion then? Do you not agree that 10 million people marching on the White House would be effective? Eligibility issue only! The politicians aren’t going to hang around on any day that they know the people are coming. They are cowards.
    ——————-
Mr. Charlton replies: It has to be during the work week; citizens have to decide between tyranny for a generation, or skipping work for a few days. If they cannot manage such a tough decision, they better prepare for tyranny.

  3. giveusliberty1776.blogspot.com are proposing a 10 million man march on the WHITE HOUSE either Jan 1, or Jan 2, 2010 (a 3 day weekend) demanding proof of eligibility. No other issues! This would be a huge number of patriots that could not be ignored and could very well provide the impetus to topple the administration and cause Obama to flee the country!

WE must have a massive march and the focus must be the removal of OBAMA! 10 MILLION PLUS would do it! WE could paralyze the government and DC.
    —————
Mr. Charlton replies: Gary, to be effective the march must be scheduled during a time in which both the Congress is in session and the Supreme Court is in session. Jan 1 or Jan 2 are bad dates. The march would just be ignored.

  4. It seems if the differnt factions join as one, amill or more in DC and several hundred at every state capitol, they may want to listen???????
All Americans that love freedom we HAD must unite!

  5. I have long espoused the same approach to removing the usurper and his minions from power. Anyone in Congress who does not stand with us is against us. Violence is not necessary. When the cockroaches and rats see “We the People” coming to remove them, they will scatter like the vermin they are. If not, we will overwhelm them and take our house back. All I need to know is when and I will be proud to push “point”. God bless America.

  6. I am in total agreement after seeing that the court system has failed the American public when we attempted to have Obama prove his eligiblity. While there are other pending cases in the courts including appeals I see little hope that the American citizens will ever bring Obama to justice. Instead a peaceful mass storming of the White House and Congress is needed to force his resignation. We must not forget that Bill Ayers was very effective in promoting his cause in the 60’s with the ultimate victory of placing Obama in the White House.

  7. Other examples of peaceful revolution include the Boston Tea Party, Mahatma Gandhi’s movement that freed India from Britain, and our own civil rights movement. Gandhi and Martin Luther King both drew inspiration from Henry Thoreau’s 1849 essay known as”Civil Disobedience,” the original title of which was “Resistance to Civil Government,” and which opens with the words, “I heartily accept the motto, ‘That government is best which governs least.’ ”

Thoreau was opposed to slavery and the Mexican War. We are opposed to usurpation and socialism, but the principles of reform remain constant. As Thoreau says:

“The authority of government . . . must have the sanction and consent of the governed.”

“All men recognize the right of revolution; that is, the right to refuse allegiance to, and to resist, the government, when its tyranny or its inefficiency are great and unendurable.”

“If we were left solely to the wordy wit of legislators in Congress for our guidance, uncorrected by the seasonable experience and the effectual complaints of the people, America would not long retain her rank among the nations.”

If we the people do not consent to be governed by a usurper, we have the right to resist our government’s folly when it installed a foreigner as president, and it is past time to correct the Congress through our effectual complaints.

I think many of feel today as Thoreau did when he said, “How does it become a man to behave toward this American government today? I answer, that he cannot without disgrace be associated with it.”

  8. Honduras Congress wasn’t as corrupt as ours .

I wouldn’t count on the chief of staffs either.

We have no leaders to organize the masses into one strong movement , everyone is working on their own projects.

Like you said , time is running out…….. we could plunge into a depression at anytime…..

I been suggesting that the tea party gang should have concentrated on the state capitals , force the governors to take a stance . If half of the governors stood up to the FEDS , it would be game over, the hell with Washington DC .
