“WAITING FOR INTERNATIONAL RESULTS”

by Sharon Rondeau

Maricopa County Sheriff Joseph M. Arpaio is a six-term sheriff and worked as a drug enforcement agent for the federal government for many years

(Mar. 12, 2016) — Between late Wednesday and early Thursday, radio host and pastor Carl Gallups tweeted that he had met with Maricopa County, AZ Sheriff Joseph M. Arpaio, who commissioned a criminal investigation into the long-form birth certificate image posted on the White House website in April 2011 which concluded that it is a “fraudulent government document.”

Gallups met with Arpaio in late January and again on March 9, as he reported.  Following the most recent meeting, Gallups announced that he was officially deputized by Arpaio with the purpose of enabling him to receive additional information on the investigation, on which he has reported on his “Freedom Friday” radio show for the past several years.

On last night’s show, Gallups elaborated on his meeting with Arpaio, a portion of which Arpaio authorized for release and is now available on YouTube and on Gallups’s joint business endeavor with Mike Shoesmith, the PPSimmons News & Ministry Network.

Arpaio told Gallups that he made a decision to delegate his volunteer Cold Case Posse to investigate the birth certificate image after more than 200 constituents and Tea Party members expressed concern at initial reports from professionals that it is fraudulent. Arpaio said that claims that he launched the investigation to collect money are completely false.  “I have records to show I have never raised money using the birth certificate,” Arpaio said.

Arpaio said he was aware that such a probe would be “very controversial,” as it involves a sitting president.  Mike Zullo led the posse’s investigation, which launched in September 2011, with Arpaio affirming that Zullo was never paid for his work.

“I’m doing it for the United States of America,” Arpaio told Gallups on Wednesday, enumerating the more than 30 years of his life in which he has been involved in federal and local law enforcement.  Arpaio is now seeking a seventh term as Maricopa County Sheriff.

On March 1 and July 17, 2012, Zullo and Arpaio held press conferences in which they detailed how the Cold Case Posse determined that not only is Obama’s long-form birth certificate a “computer-generated forgery,” but the same was found in Obama’s Selective Service registration form.

“I can’t get anybody to look at our work,” he told Gallups.  “We asked people to look at our report…we let them know we had good information.  Nobody wants to say even ‘Can we see it?'” he remarked.

“Where are we now in this investigation?” Gallups asked, to which Arpaio responded, “We’re not going to surrender yet…” and that they are seeking “enough proof on this forgery.”  Although Arpaio said, “We have all the proof,” he said that “one day somebody is going to have to look at this,” although he assured Gallups that the posse already possesses adequate proof of its claims.

Arpaio said that a “well-known international forensic analytical business is looking into it.”

“I can’t go to the moon, but if we had somebody on the moon, I would fly to the moon, because this is something we started.  I don’t care about my reputation.  I do in a way, but I’ve been in law enforcement. I’m not some guy off the streets…I have a little pride; I may have an ego, too.  I don’t care too much for all the people who blast me…I started this thing; I’d like to at least finish it, one way or the other…” Arpaio told Gallups.

“I don’t need the birth certificate to get re-elected,” he said, saying that he believed he did “what was right” by agreeing to have the posse “look at it.”

Arpaio said that he has more time to devote to the investigation if it is needed.  He again expressed disbelief that no federal agency has contacted him for the evidence he has compiled.  “It’s a federal violation,” Arpaio exclaimed.

Gallups responded by asking Arpaio to affirm that his goal is that “eventually a federal authority will ask you for the evidence so that it can be examined upon its merit.”

“They don’t have to ask me; I’ll take my truck right in the lobby of the agency that I’m going to turn it over, and it’s going to be up to them…we got a warehouse full of information,” Arpaio said.

“It’s just me; I just can’t surrender and give this up after all the time Mike Zullo and I put in on this and just forget it,” Arpaio elaborated.  “I want to give it to somebody; I’m going to give it to somebody, but I’m waiting for some other international results first.”
