Obamacare Navigators Caught on Video Advising Applicants to Lie

OBAMA’S “COMMITTED FOLKS” PERHAPS SHOULD BE COMMITTED…TO PRISON

(Nov. 12, 2013) — National Review and other outlets are reporting that Project Veritas has uncovered fraud committed on the part of Obamacare navigators hired to assist citizens to enroll in the health care program.

Groups such as Gateway to Care, the National Urban League, and Planned Parenthood received grants from the Department of Health and Human Services to encourage people to buy insurance.  HHS was awarded $54 million to hire navigators.

Last Wednesday, HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius admitted that convicted felons could be in receipt of people’s personal information over the website portal when it is functioning well enough to accept applications.

In an in-person interview, a journalist working under cover for Project Veritas told an Obamacare navigator that he makes some income in the form of cash, to which the navigator then advised him, “Don’t get yourself in trouble by declaring it now,” punctuating it with “It never happened” with laughter.

In 2009, Project Veritas founder James O’Keefe companion Hannah Giles exposed ACORN operatives committing voter registration fraud, which led to the discrediting and defunding of the organization by Congress.  Project Veritas is a 501(c)3 organization as designated by the Internal Revenue Service, the agency to whom the information which navigators told applicants to withhold would have been reported.

In early 2010, O’Keefe and three others were arrested for allegedly “entering federal property under false pretenses with the intent of committing a felony.”  O’Keefe reportedly could have faced a ten-year prison sentence but instead received three years’ probation, 100 hours of community service and a fine of $1,500 after pleading guilty to a misdemeanor.

The Project Veritas video states that the campaigns to enroll people in Obamacare appear to be connected to Democrat groups, such as “Battleground Texas,” and political action committees.  Some have openly admitted to political activity, including “turning Texas blue.”

The navigator in Texas also told the under-cover Project Veritas investigator not to admit on his healthcare application that he smokes because it would cause his premium to go up.

O’Keefe is the author of a book published in June entitled Breakthrough: Our Guerilla War to Expose Fraud and Save Democracy.

As of this writing, Project Veritas’s website is not accessible.

Obama has called navigators “committed folks” who are helping Americans to “sign up” for his health care plan.  Nationwide, “fewer than 50,000” people have reportedly registered for health insurance by mail, telephone, website, or in-person applications following a plagued rollout of the Healthcare.gov website which has cost taxpayers upward of $1 billion and requires extensive fixes.

Nearly 5,000,000 Americans have had their health insurance plans canceled because they no longer meet Obamacare’s guidelines for quality healthcare.  The Obama regime will reportedly “reach out” to those people in the coming months with another campaign.

To those who have had their insurance canceled, Obama advised, “Shop around” the Healthcare.gov website.  However, many who have browsed the website have found higher premiums, coverage they did not want, or much higher out-of-pocket costs for insurance.

Obama had originally told the public that if they “liked their plan, they could keep it.”

Navigators receive “a minimum” of 20 hours of training.

While campaigning in 2008, Obama promised to “fundamentally change the United States of America.”
