Dead Suspect Posted Videos of Radical Islamic Cleric

WAS RADICAL MUSLIM IDEOLOGY THE IMPETUS FOR THE MURDER OF BOSTON CIVILIANS?

(Apr. 19, 2013) — The elder of two suspects in the Boston Marathon bombings who was killed in a shootout in the early hours of Friday posted videos of a radical Islamic cleric on his YouTube channel.

The cleric, Feiz Mohammad, has reportedly encouraged children “to become ‘soldiers defending Islam'” and decried consumerism and “hip hop.”  Mohammed is reportedly a Wahhabi Muslim.

Like Tamerlan Tsarnaev, who was identified with his younger brother by the FBI in video on Thursday, Feiz Mohammad had been trained as a boxer.  Tamerlan attended Bunker Hill Community College to study engineering but was out of the country for at least several months early last year.

Terrorism analysts suspect that the brothers did not act alone and were part of a larger international Chechen terror cell.

Tamerlan’s younger brother, Djokhar, has not been located by authorities as of Friday afternoon.  The men were caught on video walking behind one another with black backpacks which appeared to match fragments found from the explosions on Monday.

Tamerlan was arrested in 2009, but Fox News reports that “current law” prohibits the reason for the arrest to be divulged.  Judicial Watch reported on Friday that given the arrest, he could have been deported.  JW’s Tom Fitton wrote:

There’s no telling how many of these Chechen terrorists have infiltrated the United States or how many opportunities the government has missed to protect the country by deporting them. Osama bin Laden specifically chose Chechnya as a terrorist training camp because it’s an “area unreachable by strikes from the west,” according to the intelligence report obtained by JW years ago.

The brothers arrived in the country as recipients of political asylum.  Djokhar became a U.S. citizen on September 11, 2012.

The U.S. Justice Department is seeking to deport a German Christian family wishing to homeschool their children, which is against the law in their home country, a carryover from Hitler’s Nazi rule.  On Friday Congress began debating a bill which would allow a path to citizenship for approximately 11 million people who arrived in the country illegally and which is described as “sweeping.”

It is believed that Djokhar escaped police in Watertown this morning in a car with the Massachusetts license plate “116 GC7.”  A press briefing is expected at 5:30 p.m. EDT.
