Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa took a convention-wide voice vote regarding whether or not the mention of “God” and Jerusalem as the capital of Israel should be reinserted in the Democrat Party Platform on the second day fo the Democratic National Convention. Although the “nays” were louder, Villaraigosa continued to ask for responses until after the third time, he said that it was the “opinion” of the chairman that “the ayes have it.”
