LIVE STREAMING BUT NO MEDIA UPDATES?

by Sharon Rondeau

(Sep. 3, 2012) — The Post & Email wishes to report on the events at the DNCC, just as it did on the highlights of the RNC.  However, signing up for news updates from the DNCC is not easy.

When The Post & Email went to the home page of the Democrat National Convention website and attempted to register for email updates, after several minutes, our registration still was not confirmed.  Perhaps the website is very busy today as the convention has unofficially begun today with “CarolinaFest” in Charlotte, NC.

After five minutes, the request was still processing.

We then selected the “Press” tab from the home page and asked to register for the “DNCC Media Logistics Email List” at the bottom right of the page.  Upon doing so, the following screen and message were displayed:

The text prior to the registration form reads:

Receive media logistics updates and news from the Democratic National Campaign Committee All information disseminated to this list is off the record and for logistical purposes only. Violations of this policy will result in removal from the list. This list is for logistical information only—to receive media advisories and press releases, please email mailto:press@demconvention.com

We then clicked the link to be placed on the mailing list and had to type in a password which yielded an error message.  Whether or not we receive the email alerts remains to be seen.

When The Post & Email registered with the RNC for its convention updates, it was very simple:  we clicked on a “subscribe” button and provided our organization name, address, telephone number and email address, submitted the request and began receiving the updates right away.  Announcements of media phone conferences and speakers’ addresses were provided in advance.  Afterward, a transcript of each person’s speech was distributed.

Will media coverage of the Democrats be fair?  Was it “fair” to the Republicans last week?

Businessman Donald Trump had been scheduled to give a “big surprise” at the RNC last Monday, but its official opening was delayed due to Hurricane Isaac.  Trump and his spokesman later said that the “surprise” would “still happen.”  Twitter users in Trump’s Twitter feed aggressively attacked him both before last Monday and after the second announcement, but many or most of those could be fake.

This morning, various caucuses met in sessions which were open to the public, including the Black Caucus, Hispanic Caucus, Ethnic Council, AAPI Caucus, and Native American Council.  The Youth Council is meeting at the time of this writing, between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. EDT.

A Twitter account was opened before Clint Eastwood ended his monologue with an empty chair representing Obama on Thursday night of the RNC convention last week.  The account, entitled “@InvisibleObama,” was “briefly suspended,” possibly because of a threat which Twitter perceived to have been made.  An “interview” with the person operating the account does not reveal who he or she is and ends in a lascivious remark.

Is it “Invisible Obama?”

When the account was restored, “@InvisibleObama” said:

Hey, Mitt, how about lending me some of those Cayman $ for a new Air Force One?

The Twitterer did say he was “(Invisible) Obama.”  Prior to the above comment, he said:

I’m back.  Sorry about that.  @Twitter took the invisible thing a little too literally.  Now where were we…

It was reported that “Obama” tweeted a photo of himself in a chair presumably in the White House with his back to the viewer.  It has also been reported that Obama is very active on the internet, possibly under man identities.  How does the media know that it was Obama who posted the tweet?  What kind of a response did the person occupying the Oval Office provide?

Another questionable tweet from @InvisibleObama has been allowed to stand, also containing a photograph.

A Twitter account called “@ClintsChair,” was also started after Eastwood’s performance.  Today has been dubbed “Empty Chair Day” on Twitter by some of those opposing Obama and his policies.

On August 24, The Post & Email reported that a combined 70% of Obama’s Twitter followers are either inactive or inauthentic after The New York Times wrote about the ways in which false Twitter followers are obtained or purchased.  A website originating in Great Britain said to be able to determine the number of false, inactive and authentic Twitter followers showed that only 30% of Obama’s followers are real.

Identity” has been mentioned often in regard to Obama, including by blogger Pen Johansson.  We wonder if Johansson will be covering the events at the DNCC?

Speakers at the Democrat National Convention include Cory Booker, Mayor of Newark, NJ, who had criticized an ad produced by the Obama campaign in May, after which a clearly biased editorial stated that Booker was considered “dead and done.”  Booker is considering running for New Jersey governor next year.

Former Assistant Secretary, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Tammy Duckworth will also be speaking.  She and Obama had reportedly shared being “born outside the country” until Obama announced in 2007 through media and his literary agent that he had been born in Hawaii.

Caroline Kennedy, daughter of the late President John F. Kennedy, will also be a speaker, although she has reportedly called Obama a “liar.”  Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee, is also scheduled to speak.   The Post & Email recently wrote to Wasserman Schultz regarding the fact that the organization she leads is supporting a nominee whose long-form birth certificate and Selective Service registration card have been declared forgeries by a law enforcement investigation.

The DNCC is also having a “journalist” speak, which brings into question the credentials and objectivity of that journalist, in this journalist’s opinion.

So far, Bill Clinton, who is scheduled to speak, has not revealed the script of what he will say, making members of the DNC “nervous.”  Will it be a “big surprise?”

Obama is tweeting that people should “Go to gottaregister․com. If you want to find out how to vote early, go to gottavote․com. We gotta whole lot more work to do.”

The DNCC used PRNewwire, a very expensive online news distribution service, to inform the public of its Spanish-language “webpage” and other events of interest, including continuous live-streaming of the convention.  But why are media updates so difficult to receive?

For now, Trump is not discussing his “big surprise.”  In response to The Post & Email’s story about the excuse Obama offered to CNN as to why he was unable to work in a bipartisan way with Congress, one reader said:

Obama will quit this week-Bill will put Hillary on the ticket-The DNC Crowd will go Crazy!

As of 4:30 p.m. EDT, The Post & Email has not received any news alerts from the DNCC.

  1. Well, the only wat they could pull that off is for Hill & Bill to claim they just know found out the “0” was not eligible because …. ??? …..

Oh, that’s right, there is no uniformly acknowledged “legal”, (enforceable), definition of a U.S. natural born Citizen, soooooo, what, what are they going to say……. the “0”s mommy was a Citizen and McCain was born out of the country….sooooo, what, is it because he’s black and Hill & Bill are racist’s after all………….

There is ONLY one way to close the legal-loop-hole, an emergency Petition to SCOTUS and argue the U.S. natural born Citizen definition limited to the Constitution and ITs Laws, i.e., the 1790 / ’95 Acts to establish an uniform Rule of naturalization, (process to conform aliens to the nature of a Citizen).

  2. Bill Clinton already sealed his legacy and not as a ‘hero’, imo Veritas. He will do nothing to expose the fraud known as Obama. I wonder how all 535 members of Congress are going to try and hide this usurpation from future generations. This issue is not going to go away as easily as they would wish. Cowards all!

  3. Drudge is reporting that Clinton has NOT given the DNC a copy of his speech, BUT that the DNC is “not worried.”

However, on ORLY’s site the topic has been bantered about that perhaps CLINTON was going to seal his legacy as an American hero, to salvage it from its rather tawdry connotations, by

    doing a “DONALD.”

Id est, rather than TRUMP at the RNC, CLINTON himself might expose the fraud.

It would certainly do for Television History!!

Hillary could be brought back just in time to make the candidate deadline to run.

    Sound improbable? Of course!

But THIS is a special time in American politics and history.

Not only is America in grave danger, but ISRAEL is in peril. A time for patriots all in unity!

Who doubts that Bill (and Hillary) have the EXACT SAME information that Orly, Arpaio and Trump do.

With Israel in the cross hairs it is NOT “politics as usual” and Bill may prove himself yet.

    Good article, Mrs Rondeau. Timely!!
