(Sep. 16, 2024) — Following his release on Sunday of a “whistleblower” affidavit appearing to come from an ABC News employee, “Black Insurrectionist” predicted on his “X” account that the outlet will open an “internal investigation” into the events leading up to the September 10 debate between Republican presidential nominee and 45th President Donald J. Trump and Democrat nominee Kamala Harris, the sitting vice president.
Following the debate, during which Trump was “fact-checked” at least five times and Harris none, many criticized ABC for its disparate treatment of the candidates.
Concern rose to the level of former Clinton adviser and pollster Mark Penn calling for an “independent” investigation into communications between ABC and the Harris campaign prior to September 10.
According to Black Insurrectionist (BI) on Saturday, Penn is aware “of what happened at ABC.”
He also said a lawsuit against ABC for “election interference” will be filed but not when or by whom.
ABC will be compelled to launch an investigation, BI said, “because if they don’t, things will go public that will bury them.”
