Where’s Joey?

(Jun. 11, 2021) — [Editor’s Note: The following was sent Friday morning to Dean Baquet, Executive Editor of The New York Times with the subject line, “Where’s Joey?”]

Good morning Deano,

     It hasn’t been a good couple of days for the Harris administration.

JOEY
First, the radical right is all over the fact that Joey didn’t hold a joint press conference with the British Prime Minister.  They say, this is the FIRST time in modern history that a President has not held a joint press conference, when meeting him.

The right says, this is an OBVIOUS attempt to shield him and his vastly diminished cognitive ability for the entire world to witness.  That Democrats are afraid he may make another terribly inappropriate remark to a grade school girl.  You know, commenting on barrettes, or legs crossed, or how a 12 year old looks like a 19 year old.  President Trump is a racist.

I personally believe it was just a lapse on his scheduling teams part.  I mean, so they forget to schedule a live press conference for the President of the United States. See, that’s all it was radical right.  Quit making it out to be a strategic ploy, to protect Ole Joe, from making a fool out himself or more importantly exposing our country’s weakness.

KAMALA
Next, Kamala is not having a good week at all.  First claiming that she has been to the border as the VP.  She was basically called a liar by Dino Lester Holt.  When pressed Ole Heels Harris set him straight, saying well, she hasn’t been to Europe either.  What an absolutely fantastic rebuttal.  You can see the correlation, can’t you Deano?

Then, yesterday in an interview with Univision, Kamala snapped again.  When pressured by the interviewer WHEN she would be going to the border, she admonished her for interrupting her……you go girl.  Unlike the Holt interview, which was obviously sexist; this interviewer was a woman.  So, I guess this interviewer was racist?

Well, the Conservatives  would have none of it.  They are claiming she is trying everything she can to distance herself from the quagmire down at the border.  She is so paralyzed with the task at hand that she lies, deflects, or just ignores reference to the southern border disaster.

They claim, she is in panic mode, pointing to what we see, as her lilting girlish laugh.  They refer to her cackling, hyena laugh as a nervous response to any tough question.  It is an attempt to deflect, because she does not have a viable, credible response.  They are saying if she keeps on getting questions regarding the border, there are two options.
One, she will start refusing any live press conferences or interiviews.  You know, like Joey does.
Two, she will have a meltdown due to the mounting pressure to answer these questions.

Personally, I don’t know why she hasn’t been there yet.  She didn’t have any problem traveling there when President Trump was in office.  She had no problem getting in front of the cameras back then.  My, what a difference a year makes, eh Deano.  Speaking of President Trump, he’s a racist.

Well Deano, I’m glad to see your paper The New York Times makes no mention at all about these trivial details.  It really shows your journalistic integrity. I also didn’t see any mention of this on your brothers in battle station, CNN.  I think we should definitely have more print on Russian collusion or President Trump’s tax return.  The public can’t get enough of these breaking stories.  Fantastic journalistic work Deano, Pulitzer Prize worthy.

Of course, the right says you just ghost these stories which reflect badly on the Harris administration, ala Andy Cuomo.  Or, that you deflect by doing an inordinate amount of coverage to the FORMER President.  Sort of like Kamala’s attempt to deflect using that  uncontrollable cackle.  

I eagerly await Joey’s meeting with Putin.  Putin better not push Joey.  Joey will challenge him to a push-up contest or maybe take him out behind the gym and beat the hell out of him.  I just hope Putin doesn’t challenge Joey to a race up stairs, that may not work out so well.

Keep up the good work over at The Times Deano.  Your honest unbiased reporting is a fabulous example for our children.
