Dear Editor,

As one having financially, employment, and sponsorship-wise, supported Aboriginal Australians (even attending court with them) and having many black/coloured American acquaintances after nearly 40 years of travel to and from and around America, I am truly chuffed at Haitian/Japanese Naomi Asoka winning the 2020 US Tennis Open. However, I’m truly appalled at Osaka’s wearing of a black-face mask commemorating the – no matter how unfortunate! – deaths of career criminals/those resisting lawful arrest, of any colour!

And Naomi, before you call me (and any out there screaming at me) a “racist,” have a very good look at the ease of Japan’s policy on black/coloured races’ Japanese “citizenship” and at the horrific black-on-black violence and blacks killed by other blacks: way, way out of proportion relative to population, world-wide!
