“IT’S A KEEPER”

Dear Friends and Colleagues:
Every once in a while one finds an article that opens our eyes, or maybe helps us see clearly what was already in front of us but had missed. Greenfield points out so clearly that real science is practiced when those engaged are never in total certainty and actually seek to be proven wrong. While we can and maybe should be awed by advanced degrees and lots of experience, we must be able, and should continue, to think for ourselves.
Whether the subject is “climate change” or Covid19, the ‘science’ is imperfect – and in both cases, but particularly with “climate change,” what is presented as ‘science’ is merely dressed up speculation based on incomplete consideration of all facts bearing on the issue.
As Greenfield notes, “Science isn’t a creed you follow. No priesthood of experts can ensure you make the right decisions … Politicized science does not seek to learn, but to affirm the cultural convictions of its class. It is not searching for the truth, because it already knows it … Research that reinforces our biases isn’t pursuing knowledge: it’s an echo chamber.”
Enjoy the article and keep a healthy skepticism of “science experts” who seek to influence public policy. It’s a “keeper.”

There are scientific conclusions to be made…about most things. I don’t think that it’s really the state of being in a constant state of mystery. After all, EVERYTHING has it’s causes.
However, the left has ALWAYS used the fact that it’s most cherished straw men are basically impossible for the average person to disprove. Covid is invisible to us, in all practical senses. We don’t carry microscopes and genome charts (or whatever) around with us. Should we? We might have to…and even so, they would find a way to TRY to make us think that our senses deceive us.
How are we supposed to disprove climate change…the many variations that they never seem to clarify?
They have been inaccurately describing what we see for so long that they think they can tell us in each situation what’s going on…

This is a great channel for reason.
we don’t see “science” any more but rather see the word science used to disguise an agenda. libtards can’t prove “climate change” so they gather “facts” that point to their opinion and call it science. they went from global warming to global cooling and back so many times they began to be dismissed so changed the title of their scam. A question I have asked many times but have yet to get an answer for is “if fossil fuel causes man made climate change how do they explain the big and little ice ages that happened long before fossil fuels were known and world population was still under the millions category?” I read an article a few years ago that the top ten pollution sites were in china india nd Russia so why is America always the focus of carbon emission reduction and why do libtards not practice what they preach? al gore has made hundreds of millions off this scam yet uses about 30 times as much “fossil fuel” per year as I do. gore flies around, by himself, on one of the most polluting jets in service today yet lectures me on carbon emissions? “climate change” has been going on since Almighty God formed this planet billions of years ago. Trees breathe in the carbon humans emit and put out the oxygen we need. “climate change” isn’t science, it is globalist propaganda put out by people who want to rule a poverty stricken world with an iron fist while they live in luxury!!!!!
I agree. A famous philosopher, Karl Popper, would emphatically agree.
I want to underline all this with a simple distinction. Socialists, progressives, ad nauseum are convinced they have all the answers for life. This blind conviction in their ultimate knowledge is part of why we are held in low regard. It is also why socialist countries have lower rates of innovation and invention. They say, “What is there to invent? We have all the answers already.”
In a seeming contradiction, we find conservatives believing in new knowledge, learning and progress…at least most of us…
