“THIS COULD BE YOUR FINEST HOUR!”

Dear Editor,

As someone long enjoying recreational shooting, I say America’s NRA is not only nuts, but is shooting itself in the foot by accusing Donald Trump of treason for his modest yet very sensible beginnings of controlling America’s gun madness! And whilst not for a moment further, making light of those suffering mental health problems, let me tell U.S. President Donald Trump (a Republican, who attributed the heinous murders of 26 Texas church worshipers to “mental illness,” along with just this past week 12 innocents slaughtered at a Virginia Beach workplace) that it is absolute ‘lunacy’ to continue to allow the wrong sort of guns be sold in America to the wrong sort of people!

Former Republican US President G. W. Bush awarded America’s highest award for contributing to world peace to Australia’s “man of steel” in former Aussie PM John Howard!

Now Donald Trump (a buffoon, yet a political genius) should take a leaf out of John Howard’s book and steel himself to rid the U.S. of existing (and future) semi-automatic military assault-type rifles/shotguns (along with semi-automatic pistols and other handguns) for civilian ownership and immediately implement John Howard’s gun laws!

Sadly, our modern-day world has far too many ‘disturbed’ people. So President Trump, why give such people such easy access to any type of gun in the first place, let alone access to military-type weapons (and easily-concealed handguns) to continue to slaughter innocent American civilian citizens in such great numbers?

This not what your Founding Fathers intended!

Just do something, President Trump – this could be your finest hour!

Yours,

Howard Hutchins

“You don’t need an automatic weapon to shoot a deer”- Andrew Cuomo, Governor of New York State. Perhaps not, Andy. However, “We the People” do need automatic weapons to defend against tyrants in the event they choose to turn on the citizenry.

The founders wanted to have the means to defend themselves against tyrants. That could only be if the populace has weaponry commensurate with the Government’s weapons. “The Second Amendment is the reset button of the U.S. Constitution”-Doug Mckay. The “Militia” referenced in 2A means all able-bodied men. “We the People”. That we must live in an armed society is the price we must pay to ensure our freedoms and liberty.

I will tell you what the founding fathers had in mind. A populace that had the right kind of weapons in their possession to defend themselves against a government that could one day revolt against “We the People”. The “Militia” mentioned in the Second Amendment included every able-bodied citizen over the age of 18. The types of weapons that WTP have the RIGHT to keep and bear are “Military” grade weapons sufficient to repel tyrants. PERIOD! “The Second Amendment is the reset button of the U.S. Constitution”-Doug McKay. Sure, there is danger involved in an armed society. But that is the price we must pay for freedom and security. Is it any wonder why politicians and judges continue to undermine our God-given right to possess and bear arms? Authors of anti-gun control, even members of the NRA (National Rifle Association) do not get it right. These so-called promoters of gun rights do not properly explain the Second Amendment.

Gun-control legislatures and civilian promoters have caused gun advocates to think stupidly – if I may borrow a word from the ex-putative and unConstitutional dirtbag called aka B. HUSSEIN Obama. The Second Amendment does not grant ownership and authority to keep and bear “guns”.

The Second Amendment reads: “A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.” One sentence formed by the Founding Fathers that is plain and simple to understand, except for Liberal Loons, RINOs, and gun advocates that have been brainwashed, including misguided authors of articles such as this one.

All ‘arms’ laws directed at non-incarcerated U.S. citizens, including the laws requiring the need to be licensed to ‘carry’, are unConstitutional.

Focus on prosecuting lawmakers (aka politicians), not the U.S. citizens, when it comes to the Second Amendment. When the Department of Justice starts prosecuting lawmaking politicians at all levels of government that make ANY laws that ‘infringe’ on our God-given right to keep and bear arms of any type, that’s the day that the Second Amendment will be understood.

Congress keeps depriving US citizens by continuously violating their oaths of office to support and defend the US Constitution.

Six Second Amendment Rules-of-Thumb:
1) Guns have only two enemies – rust and politicians.
2) It’s always better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.
3) Cops carry guns to protect themselves, not you.
4) The average response time of a 911 call is 23 minutes, the response time of a .357 is 1400 feet per second.
5) If you carry a gun, people call you paranoid. Nonsense!
If you have a gun, what do you have to be paranoid about?
6) Police protection is an oxymoron. Free citizens must protect themselves. Police do not protect you from crime, they usually just investigate the crime after it happens and then call someone in to clean up the mess.

There is nothing that will stop a deranged moron from killing people if that is his/her intent. There is NOT ONE leftist politician that has ever answered the question, “What gun law would have prevented this incident?” Why? Because there isn’t one. The only thing that can be done is to create deterrents that might prevent these crazy leftist shooters from killing and that is to EXECUTE every one of these killers, and do it in public, and do it by hanging! Instead, leftists have turned our “justice” system into a system that protects and coddles these murderers and gives them less punishment than a jaywalker! It also wouldn’t hurt to indict the lawmakers that help to coddle these killers and try them for the murders that were perpetrated.

And NO, Roger Beal, issuance of carry permits do NOTHING to prevent crimes with guns, it only limits law abiding citizens as well as stealing more of their hard earned assets! That is one of the reasons that NRA members are abandoning the NRA. The NRA has shown that they have little intent on helping to protect our 2nd Amendment rights, having agreed with bump stock bans, and compromising on numerous federal and state gun laws/restrictions. I’ve been a life member of the NRA since shortly after entering the military (in ’75), and completely lost all faith in that organization at least 20 years ago. Their lack of action in the Las Vegas NV mass shooting, their lack of action in many of these states (Commiefornia, NJ, NY, etc.) new gun laws and the electing of the corrupt and lying Oliver North as President of the NRA, who not only was paid by the NRA but also paid by the advertising firm was the final straw.

My AR15 has been sitting in the trunk of my car for over three years. Other than shooting targets and three gun competitions, it has not moved an inch.

More people are killed by blunt force than semi automatic weapons in America. Where is the call to ban hammers and baseball bats?

Ooohh, here we go with that tired old argument that certain types of guns kill people. In the hands of a deranged or disturbed person, a single-shot .22 can kill people. So, for that matter, can a table knife, or a family sedan. Our efforts need tp center on separating people with dangerous intentions from ALL tools of violence. The dreaded and hated NRA has advocated for exactly that approach in the issuance of carry permits for years.
