“SHOULD BE A BUSY WEEK”

by Sharon Rondeau

(Aug. 13, 2018) — On Fox & Friends Monday morning, Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani revealed that Special Counsel Robert Mueller at one time “threw out” the suggestion that he could produce a report on the Russia probe he has been overseeing for 15 months by September 1, slightly more than 60 days before the midterm elections.

In an in-person interview with the show’s three co-hosts just after 7:30 a.m., Giuliani said that Mueller has not since mentioned the proposed deadline.

“We think it should end…” Giuliani said.

Giuliani disagreed with Steve Doocy’s premise that Mueller is “Comey II,” a reference to former FBI Director James Comey. However, he said he believes Mueller and his prosecutors should themselves be “investigated.”

Regarding Comey, Giuliani said he “has committed perjury so many times…”

Giuliani in recent days has made it clear that negotiations with Mueller’s team about an interview of President Trump have been ongoing and cordial but have thus far not resulted in an agreement.  When asked if Mueller might possess information about “collusion” or another crime committed by anyone in the Trump campaign, Giuliani vehemently disagreed, stating that he has seen “everything” the Special Counsel’s investigation has thus far discovered.

“Should be a busy week,” Giuliani said toward the end of the segment.
