“50 YEARS OVERDUE”

Mr. Trump,
As a former corporate manager, you know that corporations do not pay taxes; they merely pass that on to the consumer. It is buried into the cost of the product. Democrats and Republicans alike have been cheating Americans with this age-old “hallucination” that we are making corporations pay their “fair share.” Therefore, the concept of “taxing” Mexico’s exports (20%) only hurts Americans as Mexico laughs all the way to the bank.
The simplest and most obvious way to make them pay is to withhold, discontinue, and cease giving them all the hundreds of millions of dollars in “aid” we generously give them each year. Why are we subsidizing almost every country on this planet, Mexico included? We give them far too much money and get little in return. *A fiscal year 2012 report shows we give Mexico at least $209 million dollars each year. I’m sure it has increased considerably since then. During that fiscal year, we gave them $91.7 million in “military assistance.” Why…so we can read how Mexico’s military is working and cooperating with the drug cartels? How is that investment working out for America? Compounded with that fact is that during the same fiscal year, we gave them $27.6 million for “narcotics control.” Seriously!!
There is much room for considering withdrawing some or ALL of these monies and using them to build a wall that is 50 years overdue. Weak leaders, paranoid politicians, and self-serving corporations have insured our slow deterioration as an independent country at our southern border.
Mexico laughs at us as it takes in annually at least $23 billion dollars from its fellow Mexican migrants living and working in America who send money back to Mexico. *Most of them are here illegally; not “undocumented,” but ILLEGAL!!! That is billions of dollars not being spent in America to support our infrastructure, but supporting Mexico’s.
The obvious question for Americans to ask you and your new administration is, “Why are we giving them anything at all? Have we not given them “aid” all these decades while we allowed illegals to stay here, use our “social services,” take our jobs, and then send billions back to their homeland without regard for America, which has allowed them to enrich themselves?
There is NO shame in insuring that Americans are being taken care of by our own tax dollars, in our own country, by elected representatives who recognize that they have taken an oath of office to represent Americans and only Americans. Any elected officials who are uncomfortable with that covenant are welcome to move to another country and run for office in their new residency. Our elected representatives, of all political persuasions, have forgotten who they are beholden to, by duty, by honor, and by loyalty to country. Sad to say, these are forgotten commodities in a country that has lost its way and forgotten what it takes to be GREAT…again.
