REMEMBER THE BENGHAZI FOUR

Special Operations Speaks (SOS) has sought the appointment of a special congressional committee to investigate the circumstances behind the slaying of four Americans at a U.S. compound in Benghazi, Libya on September 11, 2012

(Aug. 10, 2013) — (Washington, DC) – Special Operations Speaks (SOS) today announced that it is set to run full-size billboards throughout the congressional district of House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) demanding the immediate establishment of a House select investigative committee to determine what occurred in Washington and Libya before, during, and after the September 11, 2012, Benghazi massacre.

The billboards, contracted with CBS Outdoor, will feature pictures of Boehner, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV), and Senate Minority Leader Mitch O’Connell (R-KY) with a caption beneath reading, “If four members of CONGRESS were killed in Benghazi, would we have a Watergate style select committee today?” The billboards will also urge voters to call their Members of Congress and Boehner’s office to demand the appointment of a select committee.

“We know this is a bold step, and it may raise some well-coiffed hairs on the back of John Boehner’s neck,” said SOS Co-Founder Larry Bailey, CAPT (SEAL), USN (Ret.) “But the fact is that, he, and he alone, is blocking a full-scale Watergate-style investigation of one of the deadliest scandals in U.S. history – a scandal that reaches into the inner sanctum of the Oval Office.”

On January 18, 2013, Rep. Frank Wolfe (R-VA) introduced H.Res. 36, a bill “Establishing a select committee to investigate and report on the attack on the United States consulate in Benghazi, Libya.” The bill was referred to the House Rules Committee where, despite having 163 co-sponsors, including more than two-thirds of the Republican members of the House, Boehner has refused to bring it to the floor. The Speaker of the House has also declined to sign the petition.

In response to Boehner’s refusal to bring H.Res. 36 to the floor, Rep. Steve Stockman (R-TX) on July 24 introduced a discharge petition that would force the bill from the Rules Committee. The introduction of the discharge petition was heralded by a press conference sponsored by Special Operations Speaks at which Stockman unveiled what the Houston Chronicle reported as “the largest petition ever presented to Congress … contain[ing] the signatures of 1,000 Special Operations veterans and is 60 feet long — urg[ing] members of the House to force consideration of H.R. 36.”

An open letter by Congressmen Stockman, Gohmert & Broun to Speaker John Boehner correctly points out that “No standing committee has sweeping-enough jurisdiction nor do any of them possess sufficiently wide scope of action to ferret out and put all the pieces of this puzzle together when the Administration intentionally is misleading and stonewalling Congress and the American people to keep the truth hidden.”

The letter further states, “A select committee would have the necessary jurisdiction and comprehensive subpoena power to fully investigate the Benghazi attack. Moreover, under existing rules of the House’s proceedings with respect to the handling and control of classified information, which constitutionally must be established solely by the House itself, few, if any, of the members of the standing committees have unlimited access to classified information.”

SOS leadership holds the Speaker directly responsible for blocking the establishment of a House select committee to investigate Benghazi.

“We need 218 or 1 to form a Select Committee,” said Larry Ward, Political Director of SOS.  “We need 218 House Members to sign the Discharge Petition or 1 Speaker of the House to come to his senses.”

“With a single stroke of his pen, Mr. Boehner could end the subterfuge and open the door to a full-scale investigation of one of the most outrageous cover-ups in American history,” said Dick Brauer, Air Commando Colonel, USAF (Ret.). Barack Obama and his minions have lied, and then lied about their lies. And all the while, our national security continues to be compromised. It’s high time for John Boehner to spend less time perfecting his tan and more time protecting our country.”

HOOYA to Capt. Bailey! The fact that Obama’s coup has been allowed to continue 5 years is bad enough but dissing our Spec Ops. people is outside the box. It is all too much to believe but seeing is believing!
5 years of seeing and trying to get any Judge to allow any case of Criminal Presentments to Discovery against Obama and his criminal assistants in any court has also been too much for 5 years. We are very sure that Hillary ordered the Judge “Witch Hunt” ordering “no standing” to any case against them but also that the “Clintons” were involved in the case of Benghazi and its tentacles.

Boehner does not want an investigation because it would reveal that he was aware of the CIA’s gunrunning operations in Libya. He cannot afford to nail Obama and Clinton for keeping secrets from Americans because he was keeping the same secrets.
