PLAN TO USE “TRICK RULE” TO DECEIVE CONSTITUENTS EXPOSED

by Sharon Rondeau

Each member of the House of Representatives is expected to vote so as to reflect the majority opinion of his or her constituents

(Sep. 11, 2013) — Over Tuesday and Wednesday, at least two email newsletters circulated stating that a “continuing resolution” would be voted on by the House of Representatives which would “fully fund” Obamacare, while another vote would appear to defund it.

One newsletter was sent by the Senate Conservatives Fund, while another came from Heritage Action for America.

Both stated that a “trick rule” would be invoked to carry out the pair of votes.  Both organizations urged recipients of the newsletters to call members of Congress and urge defeat of the “trick rule.”  Breitbart News reported that a vote is scheduled for Thursday and that “House GOP leadership is planning to cave and fund Obamacare’s implementation for at least the rest of 2013.”

The House of Representatives has the constitutional responsibility to provide funding to run the government and fund or defund any measure.  Obamacare is a highly unpopular bill which has caused scores of employers to cut their workers’ hours in order to avoid the mandate to provide health insurance.

On Wednesday, The Post & Email contacted three members of Congress to ask if the information in the newsletters was correct.  We obtained the email addresses for media contacts for Rep. Michele Bachmann, Rep. Louis Gohmert, and Rep. Steve Stockman.  We sent the following email, personalized to each one:

Good afternoon, I just spoke with Dennis from Rep. Stockman’s office who referred me to you, as I run an online newspaper, The Post & Email.

There are several email notifications circulating stating that the House will be taking two votes on Obamacare under a “trick rule” provision which will allow a vote “for” Obamacare at approximately the same time that a vote “against” it will occur.

Is this true?  If so, when will the votes take place?

The notices are claiming that the “trick” vote will supply cover to those members who want to satisfy constituents angry about the bill’s enactment but at the same time gain political cover and know that their vote to fund the bill will ultimately allow it to survive.

One of the news alerts is from the Senate Conservatives Fund:  http://us2.campaign-archive2.com/?u=75124207697efe9a19ed9a724&id=d2083cab21&e=afc650831a

Thank you very much.

As of press time at 9:38 p.m. EDT, there is no response from any of the three media contacts.

Many members of the House and Senate have spoken out about the pitfalls of Obamacare, particularly Sens. Ted Cruz and Mike Lee, who have encouraged the House not to provide funding for the bill.

The Senate Conservatives Fund blames the invoking of the “trick rule” on Rep. Pete Sessions of Texas and promises to “actively recruit and support a conservative primary challenger against him next year” if it is invoked.

Members of the House of Representatives are tasked by the U.S. Constitution with “serving the people of a specific congressional district.”

As of press time, Heritage Action reported that “House leaders have punted the continuing resolution (CR) until next week.  This is good news considering the ‘cynical ploy‘ they originally intended to use this week.”

They’re not cowards, they’re smart men and women who have learned that behind closed protected doors, they can and will do anything they want to and be well-paid regardless of what the public wants or cares about. With no end in sight, it’s just one big party. Just ask Princess Pelosi or Harry Reid just how easy it is to make money on inside deals! She can tell you about how to hold Congress back for a week while you make money for your husband to get ahead! Harry Reid could easily fix any paperwork you might need done if you are having any problems with IRS or Corporate Taxes, for a mere $650,000 check to Harry, he can make all those bad things “go away”! What a nice man, he is so thoughtful of others! It’s a good thing all these creeps have Uncle Sam’s bodyguards surrounding them; they probably wouldn’t walk down the street alone. Just think what an attraction they would be in a Circus Sideshow, or is that what we really see on the news media?

The truth is this is a quid pro quo between our Republican Leaders and Obama.

It is my understanding that Boehner and McConnell have colluded with Obama to have the Obamacare Rules and definitions changed so that Congress and its staff will be exempt from Obamacare and allowed to keep your Cadillac health policies and we tax paying public will be forced to pay thier subsidies for them to do so and in exchange Boehner and McConnell has agreed to fully fund Obamacare in the continuing resolution budget.

Boehner is a traitor to the Republican Party and should be removed as Speaker.
