CAN GOD CHANGE AMERICA BACK TO WHAT SHE WAS, ONE PERSON AT A TIME?

by Todd Sweet, ©2012

Is life on this earth a struggle between good and evil, God and Satan? Can we resist Satan's allure and restore America to a godly nation?

(Mar. 21, 2012) — Money.  Cash.  Moola.

Everyone loves to talk of money.

Dreams are built as well as are torn down by it.

The Bible tells us that it in itself isnt [sic] the root of all evil, but the love of it is.

Why am I talking about money?  Because it, and the love of it, is what and why people are corrupt to begin with.

If you ask a heavyweight boxer (or any boxer) why he fights, he will not tell you because he likes to get his head beat in or beat heads in.  No.

He does it for money.  Period.

And that is why people become corrupt.

Simple…money.

Recently I received a letter from a dedicated reader of the Post & Email.  Several actually.  But a couple of them stand out.  The first I will address simply for clarification of a fact.  See, my desire is to live a life that will bring God glory.  I cannot do that without credibility.  I long ago destroyed my credibility and I am now repairing what was torn apart.  So I dont [sic] want misconceptions of me, or facts.

Part of the letter is as follows…

…and I am so glad that God has come into your life.  I cant [sic] say he is in mine.  So, much but your straight forward [sic] approach in giving Him the credit is refreshing.  I am going to buy a Bible tonight.  Just to kind of follow along with you.

The thing that confuses me is that it is obvious you had and still have money stashed.  Not that its [sic] my business, but for the sake of making my point I had to say it.

Fact is, I searched you on line under your name as well as under con man [sic] and I think people miss a lot or are to [sic] ignorant to pick it up.

One.  You did what you did in Tennessee and you were there only a max of 2 months.

But you were “escaped” for almost a year.

Obviously you werent [sic] sitting in the desert under a cactus for 9 months, yet no other charges in any state came up on you cept [sic] Michigan (escape) and Arizona (only your capture) so obviously you were doing something for 9 months.  So common sense says you were under a cactus behaving yourself or your [sic] very good at criminal behavior.

I remember a Canwest article that said you did “scams” in like 10 other states, yet there is absolutely no evidence of that.

So.  Let me stop rambling and get to my point.

You obviously stashed money.

So why have you not made an effort through court channels to pay back victims, and I’m not referring to all the idiots who acted like the [sic] were taken by you.  I mean the real victims…

The letter later states…

…anyway you go I want you to know that you’ve given me strength.  I am an officer in a town in the far west.  you have helped me stop taking bribes.  They were small, but it was wrong.

I am done and I thank you.

When I learn how to pray, I will pray for you.

Awesome!  It may be a small win but to me it is a massive beautiful win!  God is awesome!

Now let me address the letter.

Why have I not tried to utilize the courts to pay restitution?  I have.

The courts have denied the victims payment.  They continue to seek the money for conversion to their own private use.  Sound far fetched?  Useing [sic] my cons to cash in on citizens?!  Attached to this article is a legal binding court presentance [sic] investigation.  Pages 5 and 11.  It speaks for itself.

I have underlined several things and made comments but just read the facts.  I offered and they denied the victims or “alleged” victims.  Do you know that the only fines assessed are $100,000.00 to the court.

To Monroe County Court.  Not a victim.

May I also make clear that I have never, nor will I be convicted of taking anything monitarily [sic] from a single soul in Tennessee.

True.  Not a single soul.

And common sense says that if you dont [sic] want me to give the loot to a “victim,” then your [sic] trying to find it for your self.

Well.  I’ve been called a lot of things in 38 years.  Stupid is not one of them.

But let me clarify.  No one except me can get any money from anywhere.  Me.  In person.

I’m smart like that.  And if no one beliees me…

No matter, by reporting it to an official court, I cant [sic] be charged with tax laws or breaking them once it surfaces, now can I?  I never hid the facts.

Just saying.

I look at it like this.  God has allowed me to keep anything I have except the things seized at Loudon County by unlawful means.  Someone kept $132,000.00.  TBI?  MCSD?  SWPD?  Someone did.  Thats [sic] fact.

But anyway, I’ve kept it only because god reads me and knows I will be a good steward of it.

Period.  Because nothing goes down without God allowing it.

So maybe the question should be posed to Monroe County officials.  Why would they not allow me to pay when I wasnt [sic] even asking for nothing [sic] in return.

Zero.  Zippo.

Just trying to come off money.

My “love” of money ruined me.  Destroyed my wife and my children.  Destroyed [sic] us as a family unit.

People, money isnt [sic] always great.

It is if you control it for the right reasons, if its [sic] used for betterment of our fellow men & women.

To help children.

To spread Gods [sic] word.

But it is all bad, if you use it to further satans [sic][ grip on mankind.

That and only that is what the Monroe County Judicial System wants to do with money.

NOT going to happen.

Ever.

I’ll burn it first.  And dont think for a second I wont [sic].

It’ll go for Heaven before it goes for hell.

Trust and believe that.

On the subject of giving yourself to money or corruption lets [sic] learn from casting crowns (Christian music group) the song is Slow Fade.

…Its [sic] a slow fade when you give yourself away
Its [sic] a slow fade when black and white have turned to gray
thoughts invade, choices are made, a price will be paid.
When you give yourself away.
People never crumble in a day
Its [sic] a slow fade.

…the journey from your mind to your hands
Is shorter than your thinking.
Be careful if you think you stand
You just may be sinking

It is a slow fade.

I think that says a lot.

  1. God is Sovereign. Of course he can, if it is his Providence.

I agree people become corrupt because of money.

Matt.6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Footnote: Mammon; this word is a Syrian word, and signifieth all things that belong to money.

Brings to mind the old question, “Do you have money or does money have you?

Thank you, Mr. Sweet, for your testimony. Most people believe if they say they are sorry, that takes care of repentance. Not so, we have what is known as the 3 R’s….Repentance, Restitution, and Restoration. We pray, results are up to God.
