“I STAND BY WHAT I SAID”
by New Hampshire State Rep. Harry Accornero

(Sep. 7, 2011) — A citizen had written a letter to the editor of The Laconia Daily Sun which was published on September 3, 2011, which stated, in part:
I would again like to ask N.H. Representative Harry Accornero (R-Laconia) to explain his charges in The Sun that President Obama is guilty of “treason.” I have asked him to explain this before but to date, he has not responded, either personally or in a letter. While I am not one of his constituents, I think that as an elected state official, he owes an explanation to the readers of The Sun as well as to the voters.
Does he have any real proof that the president has met the Constitutional test of “treason” against the United States? After all, these are serious charges, rarely brought in America, especially against a duly-elected official. Treason is (rightfully so) a serious and specific federal crime in which a U.S. citizen has acted in very serious ways against our country. The burden of proof on the accuser is a heavy one.
On September 5, 2011, Rep. Accornero had told The Post & Email that he had submitted a response to the author of the above letter. The response reads:
Mr. E. Scott Cracaft, I stand by what I said. Any President or member of congress who allows our borders to be violated by illegals of any country, who allows the treasury to print money we don’t have in an attempt to devalue our currency, who continues to hold our country dependent on foreign oil, who turns his or her back on our longtime allies and apologies to our enemy’s for what our country has done to protect itself and others, in my opinion are acts of treason. Barack Husain Obama has gone too far. He’s crossed the line, too many times and now is the time for our elected official in Congress to finally do their Constitutional duty and hold Barack Husain Obama and his administration accountable. There are many more instances of his acts of treason. I suggest you do your homework and research for yourself and not let your leftist views get in your way. It’s time you and the Country wake up and smell the coffee. Look up the definition of treason in the dictionary, when you do I think you will see Mr. Obama’s picture next to it. If RFK Jr. and former vice president Al Gore can call anyone who does not believe in global warming guilty of treason how much more serious is it for our president and his administration to do all they can to sell out America, can you justify that Mr. E? Mr. Obama is not above the law and it is time he is called accountable for his un-American actions. I can only hope our elected officials have the intestinal fortitude to do what has to be done. This will be my last response to you on this matter, I am much too busy doing the people of Laconia’s business to be giving you history lessons…..I rest my case.
Thank you,
Harry Accornero 387-9708
Representative, Laconia
