In Memory of Audie Murphy

“WE ARE READY TO DEFEND OUR COUNTRY”

(Mar. 16, 2011) — As every other kid in my town, I’d look forward to an Audie Murphy movie at our local movie theater.. Audie was the real McCoy: he didn’t have to act the hero, he WAS the hero. Man, but was he ever smooth. A hick from the backwoods of Texas, and even though he may have started out as a diamond in the rough, he emerged as the most sensational. Out of many millions of combatants of World War II, Audie’s star shone the brightest.

Even so , it takes, above all, opportunity to become a war hero. I know, first hand, that a very large percentage of the medals awarded are for political reasons, moral boosters, or just your average B.S. I knew a high-ranking officer in Vietnam who was awarded a Purple Heart for a cut on his hand while in a combat zone. Big deal. But just because a vast majority of the medals awarded are meaningless, there are some that are not. At the end of World War II, Audie Murphy had the distinction of being America’s most decorated hero, and deservedly so.

“Give me a hero, and I’ll show you a tragedy,” as the saying goes. Take it from one who has been there, done that; it’s a true statement. Pardon my French, but the medals they should’ve handed out in Vietnam were the “Chicken **** Medal,” the “Waiting in Line” and the ever- popular “Hurry up and Wait” medals. You also have your “Don’t Mean Nothing” and “What’s in it for Me?” medals. Modesty prevents me from saying that, had the above-mentioned medals been available during my time in service, I may  very well have been the most decorated serviceman of the Vietnam conflict. And for personally putting up with way more chicken s*** then anyone else I came across, I know for a fact that I would’ve received the ‘Chicken with Three Egg Cluster’ medal. No lie.

As the saying goes, for every rule there is an exception. In Audie Murphy’s case, he was indeed the exception in actually having earned what he was awarded. It has been said that he could grasp the tactical situation of the terrain as fast as it takes you to read this. Now I’m sure that there were many others who could claim the same, but you know what? Chances are that if they were all devising a plan of attack or defense or whatever, they would have deferred to Audie if it were their life on the line.

A side note here. After having been awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor, Lt. Murphy purposely walked out of his way and made General Omar Bradley salute him (everyone in uniform is required to salute a Medal winner who is in uniform and wearing The Medal). Asked why, Lt.. Murphy replied, “Because of Anzio.” Had Audie been in charge of that operation, our troops would’ve gotten off that beach a heck of a lot sooner; that’s a fact.

Which brings us to the point. Most citizens are followers, which is why they need our leadership. We don’t require a political pundit to “try and explain away the B.S.. that was just dished out” after a State of the Union Address.

When I was in my twenties, I had a defining moment: do I save myself, or do I wait around and let someone else save me, or not? What happened was that in saving myself, I coincidentally saved others.. But that action was infinitesimal in scope compared to what is required now. Now, no matter what I do as a lone individual, there is no way I am able to save America alone. So I look back to my childhood hero, and ask myself, “What would Audie do if he were in my shoes?”

First of all, Audie would view the terrain. So I view the terrain and come to the conclusion that there are two fronts to this war. Information is our first front. Almost everyone knows that Obama/Soetoro is a fake hired to destroy the Constitution, and, consequently, America, and pave the way for a New World Order.  Also, the truth must be told that the Federal Reserve is just a con game to steal our money. Mainstream media has to be persuaded to disseminate the facts so that it is the truth that is reported.

The second front comprises three undesirable groups. First are those who are here illegally, including anchor babies and their families. Second are those who belong to a defined political group that plans to abolish the Constitution and replace it with their very own brand of a “Little Red Book”: the Quran. Those who comprise the third group are the most despicable: the traitors, those who have aided and abetted the Obama/Soetoro regime, whether they be in uniform, government employment, or in the private sector.

People, we need one another to save our country. None of us can accomplish this task alone. The retired Navy pilot in Key West needs the help from the cameraman on a crab boat in Dutch Harbor.  The American Indian insurance agent in Tucson needs the help from the cab drivers in Newport, Rhode Island and Oregon.  An Air Force Airman at Anderson on Guam needs help from the Weapons Officer on a U.S. Navy destroyer in the 5^th Fleet, and vise-versa.

Our goal is to restore our Constitution. We know it’s a two-front war. We’re not in this fight for land or money. We are fighting for those who died for the Constitution in the past. We are fighting for ourselves. We are fighting for our children.  We are fighting for the future of America. From Green Bay to Galveston, Long Beach to Brooklyn, there will be no Sharia, no “Respect  Islam” on American soil, ever.

When the Call to Arms is sounded, from border to border and from coast to coast, we’ll get it done.. All of us working together with the common goal of kicking Obama/Soetoro and his band of thieves right out the window. Support this administration? Too bad. A judge who ruled “No standing”? Jail. Here without permission? Out. Didn’t do your job vetting candidates? Jail. Falsified votes, as was done in the Minnesota election of Al Franken? Jail. Hate America, love Islam? Out. Reporting lies, yet knowing the truth? Why not jail?

In memory of a true American hero, we are ready to defend our country.
