Obama goes to church to hear a Muslim speaker!

WHY DOES THIS “CHRISTIAN” ALWAYS FLOCK TO HEAR THE MUSLIM MESSAGE?

by Brigitte de Maubec

Did Obama attend a Protestant church on Sunday because a pro-Palestinian Muslim was invited to speak?

(Sept. 20, 2010) — Yesterday, on Sunday, September 19, 2010, the Obama family attended church for only the third time in a year. They went on foot to the St. John’s Episcopal Church situated across the Lafayette Park.

But what is widely not reported by the White House and the MSM is that on that particular Sunday in that particular church, Dr. Ziad Asali, M.D., a Muslim, founder and president of the American Task Force on Palestine, was the guest speaker. He was there to speak on the subject of “Prospects of the two-state solution in the Middle-East.”

According to the website of the American Task Force on Palestine, it is a “non-profit, non-partisan organization based in Washington, DC.” The organization describes itself as “dedicated to advocating that it is in the American national interest to promote an end to the conflict in the Middle East through a negotiated agreement that provides for two states – Israel and Palestine – living side by side in peace and security.”

Dr. Ziad J. Asali is described as “a long-time activist on Middle East issues” who has testified to both chambers of Congress about Palestinian interests, increased U.S. aid to the Palestinian Authority, and “Israel’s disproportionate use of force” in Gaza.  A retired physician, Asali received his early medical training at the American University of Beirut.  He previously served as President of the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) and Chairman of the American Committee on Jerusalem (ACJ), which he also co-founded   He also served as the President of the Arab-American University Graduates (AAUG).

Next Sunday, September 26, 2010, another guest speaker, Dr. Aaron David Miller, a Public Policy Fellow at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, is scheduled to speak on the same subject. Dr. Miller was a State Department Analyst and Negotiator from 1978 to 2003. According to the Wilson Center, his expertise lies in US-Middle East relations, Arab-Israeli negotiations, Arab world and Palestinian politics and Israeli politics. He has appeared on major network television as a guest, and his writing has been internationally published. His latest published book is titled The Much Too Promised Land; America’s Elusive Search For Arab-Israeli Peace and was published in 2008.  An excerpt from the book can be found here.

(Dr. Miller is not to be confused with a famous organist with the same name and professional title who ironically has been a church organist and music director at Protestant churches.)

Let’s see if Dr. Miller’s views on the subject will have enough of the same attraction for Obama and his family to return to Church or if the appeal of golf shall once more be irresistible.

    I wonder when a Baptist Minster speaking about Christ and the Cross will interest him. Does this lend credence to his faith or is he just learning about Islam. God bless America ,not a Rev. Wright shout.

    Obama’s religion is Islam. I have nothing against any religion what it could be, but not religion that’s built on fear and supports hatred and murdering! It’s already not a religion – it’s a manipulation of a masses – not so far from NAZIs. I think USA should chose wisely who it want to be its president by his deeds and not only because of his skin color! In 21th century world is lead by some agressive people who like only war and don’t seek peace!!!! That’s what you get when you chose someone Muslim! :((

    It’s becoming embarrassing to be an episcopalian. No wonder the church is losing membership so fast. why would a moslem be preaching in a church? do they let priests talk in their mosques?

    WHY else would the obamas go to an episcopal church? they’re NOT episcopalians! not even sure why they got to march up to the rail and take communion since they’re not confirmed! what a joke this is becoming.

    The article principally addresses the form which followed the service. Several articles state the Obama’s took communion and were there for an hour. This tells me they went for the service and left before the forum by Dr. Asali assuming they went to the 9:00 service. The news is supposed to be accurate. This article was not “fair and balanced.
    ——————
    Mrs. Rondeau replies: The Post & Email has acknowledged that it appears that the speaker addressed his audience following the church service. The piece was written by an unpaid citizen contributor and was published as an editorial. It is interesting that Obama chose to attend that particular church on that particular Sunday, and the question remains as to why a church hosts political speakers between its services. What is that church’s true role in the community?

    I have no problems with anyone being a Muslim.
    We all have different beliefs and faiths …Nothing wrong with that!

    I find it odd that after almost 4 years of Obamas (campaign first) then 19 mos of such hatred, that people cannot think of one little thing that points to Obamas FAKE ‘religion’- his middle name.

    America is turning into a NAZI state, and it is totally SAD that many of my OWN people, the liberal “Jews” are with Obama to make this happen, I hope they are happy- being a big part of Americas rise to National Socialism, Israel hatred, pro-HAMAS.

    I don’t care if it was before OR after, any church that would host as their “guest speaker” a Muslim, knowing full well they worship a false god who advocates “killing the infidels” is definitely not a church following Jesus Christ! How sad — no wonder people are so misguided. So many churches are deceived themselves and preaching a false doctrine!

    Arafat was not a Christian. Muslims do attend things like Midnight Mass though….. I know that because I worked with an Iranian Muslim at one time and he told me that he had attended Midnight Mass. (besides I think that this person was not even close to being strict Muslim). Arafat would have attended something like that to get the Christians on side.

    John McCain was born to citizen parents. His father was in Panama as part of the Navy. The NBC status of McCain is debatable but it is a lot stronger than Øbama because of the CITIZEN PARENTS.

    I would assume that as a member of the Navy serving in Panama that McCain sr had a diplomatic status. McCain would not have been considered a citizen of Panama but he would be considered a citizen of the USA.

    OTH Øbama sr. was a Kenyan student in Hawaii. He was not an immigrant. He did not have immigrant status. As a Kenyan in 1961 he was a British citizen. As such the British citizenship was conferred upon Øbama jr. This is important because even in Øbama was born in Hawaii he is not NBC. He cannot be NBC because his father was a British citizen.

    This is the same situation faced by my cousins who were born in Michigan. Their mother was an Australian citizen. She did not take out US citizenship prior to their birth. It means that none of my first cousins in the USA are NBC because of her status. OTH their children are NBC because my cousins had citizenship status when they in turn had children.

    It’s true that a church could lose its tax-exempt status for sponsoring political activity, which this is.

    That said, there is a double standard in the US. Muslims, and any individual or group serving the Muslim agenda, enjoy a de facto exemption from many of the laws and regulations that the rest of us must obey.

    From the Chicago Sun Times news blog, the source Blaze cited to debunk this story:

    For sixth time since president, Obama attends church in Washington
    By Lynn Sweeton September 19, 2010 8:18 AM

    WASHINGTON–For the sixth time since becoming president, President Obama attended church in Washington.

    The First Family walked through Lafayette Square from the White House–no motorcade, it’s just a block–to St. John’s Episcopal Church. The family left at 8:49 a.m. for the 9 a.m. service. Obama was wearing a suit; First Lady Michelle, Sasha, and Malia in dresses.

    (snip)

    “The first family left the church by the side door at 10.03am and walked slowly through the park back to the White House.
    http://blogs.suntimes.com/sweet/2010/09/for_fifth_time_obama_attends.html
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    This article is puzzling.
    - “The…family left the church…at 10.03am…”
    “By Lynn Sweeton September 19, 2010 8:18 AM”
    How did Lynn Sweet and the Chicago Sun Times report this almost two hours before it happened (three hours if report time of 8:18am was Central time, which is an hour behind DC)?
    - Time of the Oilbamas’ arrival and departure wasn’t included in the report of their Easter Sunday church visit. http://blogs.suntimes.com/sweet/2010/04/for_fifth_time_obama_attends_c.html
    The report of the fourth church visit included only the time that “Pool” departed the White House for the church, not the time that “Pool” or the Oilbamas departed after the service.
    - The White House pool report begins at the fifth paragraph, but where does it end? There are no closing quotation marks. How much of this article was written by Sweet and how much was the WH pool report? When was the pool report actually written and by whom?
    - Did Sweet report early Sunday morning that the Oilbama’s were to be attending church later that morning? After the agenda for St John’s 10:00am Adult Forum was “leaked” onto the ‘Net, was the pool report portion, which includes the time the “first family” left the church, written and added and the report edited to reflect past-tense by an sloppy editor who neglected to reflect that change to the time of the report’s posting to the Chicago Sun Times news blog?
    Not true. This story was thoroughly debunked by Glenn Beck on his website The Blaze. Please check it out.
    http://www.theblaze.com/blog/2010/09/21/did-obama-finally-attend-church-to-hear-a-muslim-speaker
    ————–
    Mrs. Rondeau replies: The Post & Email’s article of September 20, 2010 was written by a private citizen as an editorial. Since publication, The Post & Email has stated that it appears that the Muslim speaker delivered his address after the service which Obama attended. However, the fact that the mainstream media did not mention that this very pro-Palestinian, anti-Israel speaker would be delivering an address at the church directly afterward is an omission. If Glenn Beck is mentioning it now, it is only because a citizen brought up the matter first yesterday. Beck mentioned nothing about it on his show yesterday.
    Could Obama have attended that particular church service to make sure that there would be a “packed house” for Dr. Asali’s address?
    Christians AND Muslims dress in this manner in that part of the world. Some people that wear turbans are Sikhs, too. Are people claiming that Hawaii is not a part of the United States? John McCain was born in Panama-Hawaii became a State in 1959 or 1960 as I recall.
    Stacy Harp, the link to St John’s Forum page is embedded in the “guest speaker,” in the second paragraph of this posted article, in blue text. Here is the agenda for Sunday, Sept 19, 2010, that St Johns sent out in html email format. http://campaign.r20.constantcontact.com/render?llr=d8zaiodab&v=001mgvimUtTidNQ_OjUbYFRRaB_bbj_SzfQurzW01WrJO2oZrpu_iPdRJG7HOqCUtgJWLHzHXtry6bfHeq8-WiSsXHVoE5Z63AHcYMWndTy6qybnxAUor7ID-RyOmrzmwlmI3CR3On1Ljw%3D
    That this (or anything else, for that matter) wasn’t reported by the MSM (aka lamestream media in some circles, including those I belong to) has absolutely no bearing on the validity or the value of news reported by citizen journalists. So-called journalists working in the MSM today perform functions more like those of PR agents, marketers or even propagandists. Citizen journalists are the only real journalists and news reporters in America today. (By verifying their cited sources, I’ve discovered some real journalists and reporters online, P&E News being one of them.)
    Indeed, many Palestinians did “used to be” Christians. What does not reach the pages of the mainstream media is that the Christians living in Gaza and to a large extent West Bank have either fled overseas or have paid the ultimate price for their faith, by paying with their lives.
    I am sure that the persecuted former Palestians Christians would not agree that the notion of living peacefully in a two state soluntion is a possibilty.
    On a news talk show some months ago, a woman being interviewed said that she was a friend of Imam Rauf (head of the Park 51 mosque project) and had gotten to know him because her Episcopalian Church in NYC, invited him often to give lectures there. A new ecumenism? Her spin on it was that Imam Rauf is a moderate Muslim of peace. I am sure Muslims put their best foot forward when trying to gain friends of influence and preach on the peaceful texts of the Qur’an, without sharing that those texts have long been abrogated by later texts of an opposite nature. 80% of mosques in America are radical, led by radical Imam’s teaching radical Jihad. Here is an example of a “soft spoken” peaceful Muslim teaching a 2 yr. old.
    I’m the President of Active Christian Media and I found this story interesting because there was no mention of the guest speaker in the MSM reports, however, I must say that I’m not completely convinced that Obama stayed to hear this speaker. If you go to the church website you can download and listen to the actual sermon given on Sept 19th (I did) and you can also download the program of what the church service was about. There is no indication that Obama and his family stayed after this service to hear the guest speaker who was at 10 AM. Now if they did, that would be an interesting fact to note – however, there is no indication they did from any of the reports I’ve read. (Which as you know are questionable anyway ) :)
    ——————–
    Mrs. Rondeau replies: Yes, it appears that the speaker delivered his address at 10:00 a.m., after the church service. However, questions remain: Why is an Episcopal church sponsoring events which could be viewed as political, and why did the Obamas choose that particular Sunday to attend that particular church? Obama has never indicated any affiliation with the Episcopal church before that we know of.
The hierarchy for St. James’s Episcopal Church has some serious house cleaning to do in the so-called ‘church of the presidents’.     Obama is no more a Muslim then he is a Christian, Jew or Buddhist. Hussein would pray to a speed bump if his handlers told him to. He doesn’t care about religion or race he cares about his own vision as the ruler of the world. Hussein will use whatever vehicle necessary to achieve the goals set forth by Soros and company. In the atmosphere of political correctness, being Pro-Muslim and Anti-Christian is very popular and if it helps him get votes he will support it.
    He knows that he cannot be the ruler in the New World Order if the United States maintains their world dominance in military power and dictates policies with a robust economy. So he is in the process of destroying both. Islam is a handy target to keep the population ticked off and disorganized.
    Give peace a chance? Are you kidding??
    Maybe you have been living in a vacuum in northern Canada away from all broadcasts for the past 30 or 40 years. The Palestinians have never been subjugated by Israel. Israel has attempted to do everything in their power to bring about peace in the mid east! They have given land on several occasions and yet they continue to be bombed nearly daily to this day. The Palestinians have sworn the death of Israel, in particular the terrorists who now are in charge of them. And the predecessor, Arafat, was responsible personally for the attacks in the 72 Olympics, where so many Israeli athletes were slaughtered! As for Christians in their ranks, they kill each one as they find them! Wake up and throw away whatever you are smoking as it has killed most of your brain cells. Or are you simply another one of them trying to hide your identity here?
    Israel: Why the Two-State Solution Will Not Work
    May 14, 2009 | From theTrumpet.com
    The international community wants Israel to commit suicide.
    “Today, the hill country of Judea and Samaria are to Jerusalem, the Dead Sea and the coastal plain, what the Golan is to the Sea of Galilee and Israel’s northern plains. Strategically, the territory of Judea and Samaria is the pivot on which the national security of the Jewish state depends. It is critical not only to the security and stability of Jerusalem and the other towns and cities in the Judean and Samarian hills, but also essential to the security of towns and cities on the coastal plain, on which 80 percent of Israel’s population lives and the bulk of Israel’s finance, economy and transportation arteries and industry exists.
    To those who understand the centrality of Judea and Samaria to Israel’s existence as an independent and secure state, the notion of ceding this territory to the Palestinians—a people incapable of forging peace among themselves, let alone with their sworn enemy—in return for peace, is illogical and immoral. Yet that is the basic premise of the two-state solution, a peace plan outlined in the Oslo accords in 1993, which has been embraced by most of the international community, including Britain, the European Union, the Palestinian Authority, and even the Arab League (with preconditions).”
    The photo with the article has nothing to do with the article. It’s from one of Obama’s trips where the local citizens honored him by giving him some of their traditional clothes and he honored them by putting it on.
    ——————–
    Mrs. Rondeau replies: The intent was to show that Obama seems to have no problem being a “Muslim” when it’s convenient. Sunday might have been another occasion. He does not attend church, so why last Sunday?
    There is nothing wrong with wishing and supporting peace in the Middle East. But the point is that every time Obama invokes his alleged Christianity, there is always a Muslim twist lurking in the shadows.
    Out of all the churches in Washington, at of all the Sundays in the year, Obama attended the Church which had a Mulsim guest speaker that day. Just saying….
    Islam is the line-age of Abraham & Hagar — not of the house of Isreal ,which is the line-age of “Christ Jesus” , which was through “Abraham & Sarah ” that is why Islam has so much hatred for “Christians” —-”OBAMA” claims to be christian , but he is not —- Just like he claims to be the President , but how can he really be the “Constitutional President of the United States of America ” When he is not a “Natural born Citizen ” & ” OBAMA ” Knows such —- So just more lies —-Satanismn – The Father of all Lies
    The Zionists purchased most of the land and developed it. When the UN created Israel the surrounding arab nations told the residents to flee and return after they had killed all the Jews. Israel told them to stay. Israel gained the rest of the land defending itself. The arabs never integrated the refugees they created, yet Israel absorbed the Jews expelled from the surrounding countries after the war. They left behind an estimated 30 billion dollars in assets and land amounting to many times the size of Israel. If Israel was all about grabbing land they never would have returned the Sinai to Egypt in exchange for peace.
    Interesting, but the press pool report posted on Drudge stated the family left the WH at 8:49 a.m. The Church’s website shows a service time of 9:00 and the Asali lecture scheduled as a separate forum for 10:00. Do we know what time the family returned? The news media only discuss the “one-hour” service time. Unless we know how long the Obamas were at the church, there is no way to know whether they actually heard Asali’s lecture in addition to the sermon.
    —————
    Mrs. Rondeau replies: I see that Dr. Aaron David Miller’s discussion is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. next Sunday, but it does not say that all “Forum” sessions are at 10:00. It is quite possible that they are, however. This is a good point which will be investigated.
    This article says:
    “According to the website of the American Task Force on Palestine, it is a ‘non-profit, non-partisan organization based in Washington, DC.’ The organization describes itself as ‘dedicated to advocating that it is in the American national interest to promote an end to the conflict in the Middle East through a negotiated agreement that provides for two states – Israel and Palestine – living side by side in peace and security.’ ”
    Is there supposed to be something wrong with that? All our presidents going back to Carter, I think, have striven mightily for exactly that goal–a peaceful two-solution–and I support the efforts of Obama in this one area, even though his presidency is a fraud.
    And remember, not all Palestinians are Muslims. Many used to be Christians, and some still are. Must these people be run off their land or be forever subjugated by Israel? Moreover, a great many Jews support an equitable, viable two-state solution. Netanyahu was out-voted in the last election by a woman who favored a genuine two-state solution, but the opportunity to form a coalition government was given to him anyway.
    Give peace a chance in the Middle East. An equitable peace would also be entirely in the best interest of the U.S.
    From the St John’s web site:
    “St. John’s parishioners annually join together to repair and refurbish a house in the District of Columbia as part of the nationwide “Rebuilding Together” program.
    Rebuilding Together is funded by the Stone and Holt Weeks Foundation.”
    http://www.stoneandholtweeksfoundation.org/Foundation/Welcome_1.html
    Perusing the Stone and Holt Weeks Foundation site, it’s obvious that the Weeks brothers were young Progressives, as is the foundation in their names. Read The Story of Stone and Holt from the About Stone and Holt page. Or visit one of the NPR links from the About page…if you can stomach it.
    From the Stone and Holt Weeks Foundation web site:
    “In cooperation with the Community Foundation for the National Capital Region, the Foundation exists to honor the memories and spirits of two brothers, remarkable young men who left this world in the summer of 2009 — far too early.”
    The Community Foundation for blah blah blah site reeks of Progressivism, but this group must be more sophisticated and savvy because I couldn’t locate any socialist verbiage. That is, until I ran a site search for “social justice.” Here are the search results:
    “Each month St. John’s parishioners provide casseroles for S.O.M.E. (So Others Might Eat), a ministry to the homeless and low-income individuals in D.C. ”
    Visit the “Social Justice” page at the SOME web site. Or don’t. Just know that it’s there.
    Let’s see if Dr. Miller’s views on the subject will have enough of the same attraction for Obama and his family to return to Church…
    They might. Starting with the links provided in this article, I dug far enough to discover that Miller is a Progressive. And we all see that Muslims and Progressives are tight nowadays.
    Speaking of Progressives, I did some online research on St John’s Church Lafayette Square and discovered their Progressive ties. Because the commenting software here rejects comments with more than one or two links, I can’t share all that I discovered. But here’s a bit of it.
    From St John’s Church Lafayette Square web site:
    St. John’s is a member of WIN, a faith-based grassroots political organization dedicated to improving the life of all residents of the District of Columbia. Founded in 1996, WIN is multi-faith, multi-racial and non-partisan. It has nearly fifty church, synagogue, union, and public school members, representing 25,000 families in every section of the city.
    WIN is affiliated with the Industrial Areas Foundation (IAF), the oldest and largest community organizing network in the United States. with more than 60 faith-based community organizations across the nation, including BUILD in Baltimore, MD and AIM in Montgomery County, MD. http://www.stjohns-dc.org/article.php?id=22
    From the WIN web site:
    Washington Interfaith Network
    an affiliate of the Industrial Areas Foundation
    Overview
    WE ORGANIZE FOR POWER TO TRANSFORM COMMUNITIES
    From WIN’s FAQ page:
    What is the IAF?
    The IAF is the Industrial Areas Foundation, the country’s oldest and largest community organizing network. The IAF was founded in the 1940s by Saul Alinsky, who organized the country’s first neighborhood association, “The Back of the Yards Council,” in Chicago’s South side. Today, the IAF has affiliates in more than sixty cities. Each affiliates has its own name, sets its own agenda and hires its own lead organizer. The various affiliates come together for training and for regional leadership development. For more information on the IAF, visit http://www.industrialareasfoundation.org.
    http://www.windc-iaf.org/article.php?id=18
    The entire WIN/IAF FAQ page – the entire WIN site, actually – is just as sickening as the paragraph copied, above.
    from Daily Paul (sorry about the lenght)
    SENATE SWITCHBOARD — 202-224-3121★★★
    DON’T PUT OFF YOUR PHONE CALLS
    If you’ve never called a Senate office, it isn’t hard. Just state your name to the staffer and quickly say you are calling to ask the Senator to OPPOSE the DREAM Act amnesty. Then give one reason for your opposition, say thank you and good-bye.
    ************************************
    Senate Majority Leader Reid (D-Nev.) continues today to tell Senate Minority Leader McConnell (R-Ky.) that he will bring the Defense Authorization bill to the floor at 2:15 p.m. Tuesday and that the bill will have the DREAM Act amnesty in it.
    But the No. 2 Senate Democratic leader, Durbin (D-Ill.), is telling the public that the bill will NOT have the amnesty in it. Rather, he says, the amnesty will be brought up as an amendment later in the week.
    The first vote at 2:15 p.m. Tuesday will be a cloture vote requiring 60 YEAS to allow debate to even begin on the Defense bill.
    Not knowing exactly what the form of the vote on DREAM will be, your best bet is just to keep calling Senators and saying that they must vote NO on anything that includes the DREAM amnesty.
    DEMOCRATS WHO VOTED AGAINST AMNESTY IN 2007
    BUT NOT YET RELIABLE THIS WEEK
    DEMOCRATS WHO VOTED AGAINST AMNESTY IN 2007
    BUT NOT YET RELIABLE THIS WEEK
    Folks, if we don’t hold these 7 Democrats, we may be in big trouble. Capitol Hill news services are reporting today that they don’t find a single one of these who has yet committed to voting AGAINST the DREAM amnesty this week, even though they voted against it when NumbersUSA activists mobilized to kill it in autumn of 2007.
    Not surprisingly, none of these 7 is up for re-election this year. So, you need to hit them forcefully enough to make them think you will remember when they DO come up for re-election in later years.
    Some of these Senators are talking like there are significant changes in the bill that may allow them to vote for it this time. Talk about that when you call their offices. Tell them that this bill still:
    * covers everybody up to age 35
    * is wide open to fraud because people only have to CLAIM to meet criteria and the government has to PROVE that their claims are false
    * is open to at least 2.1 million illegal aliens (even before fraud)
    * allows illegal aliens to arrive as late as age 15 and claim that they don’t know the language or culture of their home country and, thus, should not be forced to go back home
    ★These are top priorities:★
    Sen. Pryor of Arkansas 202-224-2353
    501-324-6336
    Sen. Landrieu of Louisiana 202-224-5824
    225-389-0395
    Sen. McCaskill of Missouri 202-224-6154
    314-367-1364
    Sen. Baucus of Montana 202-224-2651
    Sen. Tester of Montana 202-224-2644
    701-258-4648
    Sen. Dorgan of North Dakota 202-224-2551
    701-239-5389
    DEMOCRATS ON THE FENCE WHO ARE GOOD PROSPECTS
    Senators Stabenow and Ben Nelson voted for the amnesty in 2007. But we feel they could be persuaded to vote otherwise now that we are in a Jobs Depression.
    And Sen. Hagan is a new Senator who has been indicating opposition to the amnesty but still doesn’t seem guaranteed.
    Sen. Stabenow of Michigan 202-224-4822
    313-961-4330
    Sen. Nelson of Nebraska 202-224-6551
    402-441-4600 or 402-391-3411
    Sen. Hagan of North Carolina 202-224-6342
    336-333-5311 or 919-856-4630
    REPUBLICANS ON THE FENCE
    Here are Republicans who still won’t promise to vote against a massive new illegal-alien amnesty.
    Frankly, friends, we need not only to defeat this amnesty but to crush it in order to scare off Senate leaders from bringing this or another amnesty up for a vote during the lame duck session after the elections.
    Most of these Republicans (not all) tend to put the desire of greedy businesses for cheap foreign labor over the needs of their unemployed constituents. They can use your educational assistance.
    Sen. Hutchison of Texas 202-224-5922
    214-361-3500
    DEMOCRATS WHO MAY BE SUSCEPTIBLE TO PRESSURE FROM THEIR CONSTITUENTS
    These tend to lean in favor of foreign workers over unemployed Americans.
    But they have NOT co-sponsored the DREAM Act amnesty even though Party Leaders have almost made support of this amnesty a litmus test for being a real Democrat. So, something is holding them back. Provide them some more reasons.
    Sen. Begich of Alaska 202-224-3004
    Tom, that depends on what the definition of “is” is. Obama is not a Muslim in the sense that he probably does not pray several times a day to Allah, nor respect Ramadan, etc. But the only religious sensibilities he ever were exposed to were Muslims. The only religious education he ever had was Muslim. His father and stepfather were Muslims. Jeremiah Wright was a converted Muslim before starting to preach Black Liberation Theology which is not a Christian philosophy. Obama is not a Muslim in the sense that he does not have a religion, thanks to his atheist mother and grandparents, but he has a religious sensibility and it is not a Christian sensibility.
