(Aug. 16, 2016) — In a preview to Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s expected address in West Bend, WI following several nights of violence in Milwaukee after a black man was killed by a black police officer on Friday night, Fox News’s Carl Cameron stated at 10:00 p.m. EDT that Trump will cover the topics inner-city problems such as unemployment, poverty and government dependency.

Earlier on Tuesday evening, Trump met with law enforcers in Milwaukee and conducted an interview with Sean Hannity.

At 10:05 p.m., Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker was at the podium on which a “Trump-Pence” sign was mounted following brief comments from RNC Chairman Reince Preibus.

The speech will take place during Sean Hannity’s show, which at the same time as Walker is featuring Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke, who said that “the ghetto” needs to be “fixed,” not “the police.”

At 10:07 p.m. Trump took to the lectern, after which cheering began.

“It’s great to be here tonight,” Trump began, adding that he was “honored” to have Walker, Preibus and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani in attendance.

Trump referred to his speech on Monday wherein he spoke about defeating radical Islam and tightening immigration requirements.

He said that the violence which erupted Friday night deny Milwaukee residents’ right to live safely and in peace.  “The main victims of these riots are law-abiding African-American citizens living in these neighborhoods,” Trump said at 10:09.

“Crime and violence is an attack on the poor and will never be accepted in a Trump administration,” Trump said.

At 10:11, he cited figures showing that approximately 4,000 people have been shot in Chicago so far this year, a city Obama now claims as his home town.

Trump said that African-American parents should be able to send their children to school with confidence that they will be safe.

As with Monday’s speech on combating terrorism, the mainstream media did not announce his Milwaukee appearance nor cover it live.

Throughout his remarks, Trump said that his “opponent,” referring to Democrat presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, favored policies which would not solve inner-city problems.

“When I’m president, I will fight for the safety of every American…” Trump said at 10:17.  “I’m asking for the vote of every African-American citizen…who wants a different and much better future.”

He went on to say that “Democrat policies” have failed African-Americans “decade after decade.”

Trump then cited statistics showing that unemployment and poverty rates in Milwaukee have skyrocketed, while 55 public schools have declined in performance to students.  “It’s one of the worst public school systems anywhere in the country,” he said.

He said that Milwaukee jobs in large numbers have been moved overseas.  “I’m running to offer you a much better future, a much better job, and a much higher wage,” Trump said at 10:20 to those who have been affected by the loss of jobs and cycle of poverty.  “It’s time to rebuild the inner cities of America,” he said, then said that he is not part of “the corrupt [political] system.”

“It’s time for rule by the people, not the special interests…” Trump said at 10:23.

He said that Democrats have “taken for granted” the vote of African-Americans.

“I’m fighting for you,” he said.

At 10:27, he denounced the entrenched political class, including Republicans who have denounced his campaign.  “They only care about themselves,” he said, including Clinton in that category.

He then said that the trafficking of drugs and illegal aliens across the borders must stop.

“Are you ready for change?” he asked the audience at 10:29.

At 10:33, Trump reiterated his statement that of immigrants wishing to enter the U.S., only those with views compatible with the Constitution will be issued visas.

At 10:37, Trump promised to root out “government corruption” and cited what appears to have been a “pay-to-play” arrangement Clinton conducted while serving as secretary of state from 2009 to 2013.  Trump said that his administration will protect classified information, referring to Clinton’s private email server through which she sent unprotected classified information which foreign governments have likely collected, according to the FBI.

“This is our chance to take back power…” he said at 10:39, referring to “a government ‘of the people.'”

His speech ended at 10:45 with his statement that “We can make America great again,” invoking his campaign slogan.

Jeffry Harrison writes, “America needs a
leader with morals and faith, to me, there is only one clear
choice.”

Donald Trump is not a follower of Jesus. Acts speak louder than words. Can you state one thing that Donald Trump has ever done that indicates he follows the teachings of the Son of God?

I see a man that attends church on Easter and Christmas who has cheated on all of his wives and fathered 5 children with 3 different women.

Gary, thanks for your post, it is well said.

For me, it seemed that McCain and Romney didn’t seem as if
they had the fire nor desire to win. Maybe they were plants
to let “Barry” be the victor. They seemed to be milk toast.
Too bad Sarah wasn’t let loose, she would have taken on that
hope-n-change fellow.

Now we have TRUMP and he’ll take off the gloves. Let’s continue
to support and remember the Donald in prayer. America needs a
leader with morals and faith, to me, there is only one clear
choice.

While Trump may not be the smoothest and most eloquent orator…I suggest everyone who did not see the “Milwaukee” speech last night find it on You Tube and watch it. The truth of what Trump said was undeniable and the overall message is a winning one. If Trump gives this speech regularly on the stump he will win the election running away. Imagine for example if McCain or Romney had had the courage to tell the truth like Trump did last night? They didn’t because they are establishment politicians and that’s why they lost. Finally someone to tell it like it is. Powerful. Just stay on message Donald and WE can finally clean up OUR country together!
