“A HUGE OPPORTUNITY”

This is Dan Johnson. I’m 20 years old, and as many of you know I’m the founder of People Against the NDAA. Please take a minute to read this.
I started this organization in my dorm room, on this Facebook page, and on twitter. Then, it was just a dream. A dream that one day, we would make a difference. A dream that one day, we could tell our children, born and unborn, that they are really, truly, free.
When we went to our first city council meeting, with 21 college students, we believed we were getting involved for liberty.
Yet our mayor did his best to shoot us down. He told us we “should have taken Government 160 and don’t know the inner workings of our national government.” The city council voted not to even hear our resolution. My OWN city councilman, Daniel Gordon, told me the “political winds were no longer in his favor” and he would be breaking his promise to defend our rights.
That was February 21st, 2012.
Then, nearly two years later, on October 7th, 2013, we had our first victory. The Capital of New York banned the NDAA. October 9th brought another. Then 2 more cities, then the first county in America, then another city.
Today, we stand at 5 cities and one county having banned the NDAA, with 60-70 working to do the same. We interact with over 50,000 people on Facebook per week, email several thousand, and reach just shy of 2 million.
Since we decentralized last year, the NDAA Resistance has made a serious impact, we have spoken to nearly one hundred events, and I personally have presented to several thousand people, from Tea parties to progressive groups, colleges, and even high schools.
This would not be possible without you.
Which is why I’m asking for your help today to reach over 10,000 people and educate them on the NDAA.
We have a Concert Tour planned, with at least three, if not more, stops around the country. Each stop will have over 3,000 people in attendance. Top artists from around the country, including Saving Abel, Immortal Technique, Jordan Page and more will be performing, educating the crowd on the NDAA.
Today, we have a one-day moneybomb to raise the $10,000 we need to get there. I’m going to close it down when I get up tomorrow.
This is our chance to get the NDAA into the mainstream. This is a huge opportunity, not only to reach 10,000 people, but to be self-sustaining enough from these events that we never have to ask for money again. We just keep reaching 10,000. And another 10,000. And another.
So, I’ll ask you, as the NDAA Resistance, help us reach the next level with these three things.
